Thanks so much for joining me today, I’m glad you’re here. This week the regime found out what happens when it picks a fight with people who won’t back down. I hope it fires you up as much as it did me.
But before we hop in, hit the ❤️ like button and restack this. There are people out there who won’t ever hear about these wins unless you share them. Help spread the word.
And if you haven’t yet, join us as a paid subscriber today. It covers our daily reporting and exclusive investigations into the Trump regime. Let’s flip Congress together:
Fearless In Dearborn
Pardoned Jan 6 defendant Jake Lang planned his latest trip to Dearborn, Michigan, for weeks. He promoted it as a “Christian Crusader March” online, and told The Detroit News that he expected trouble.
There were at least six law enforcement agencies on the scene. Hundreds of demonstrators filled the streets around the Henry Ford Centennial Library, where the city had moved its council meeting.
Lang arrived wearing a bulletproof vest—to a public library. Seriously. He got two about minutes to speak, just like everybody else. He tore pages from a Quran on his way out, after Council President Michael Sareini had him removed.
After that, Dearborn Mayor Abdullah Hammoud talked about a young boy. That morning, he said, the boy walked up to him at a park and asked if the “crusaders” were coming to kill him. Hammoud paused so long that the police officer walking with him stepped in to tell the child he’d be safe. At the meeting, Hammoud answered the boy directly: “Go be a kid. Go play with your friends. Laugh too loudly, get in trouble at home.” The room gave him a standing ovation.
The council meeting started on time and finished without incident. Twenty-two people were arrested outside and nobody was hurt. Lang wore body armor into a library and left with nothing.
They Had Proof He Was Innocent
The Trump regime dropped its case against David Hearn three weeks ago. This week we learned why.
Hearn is a former Olympic canoeist. Jeanine Pirro’s office charged him with destruction of property for allegedly pulling at peeling material floating in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
In a filing this week, prosecutors produced an email dated June 11 where a National Park Service engineer told the Interior Department the pool’s lining was already coming apart. The engineer said it was due to the contractor’s overspray, and warned that the loose layer was very thin and that more of it would peel.
Hearn didn’t visit the pool until June 19. The grand jury indicted him on July 2.
Assistant US Attorney Michael Spence wrote that the engineer’s account casts “significant doubt” that Hearn caused any damage. He wrote that the documents “would sabotage the government’s ability to meet its burden of proof.” He added that prosecutors didn’t receive them until weeks after the indictment.
Somebody inside the Interior Department was holding the proof while a grand jury voted.
San Diego’s Neighbors Just Evicted ICE
Thanks to contracts signed in 2021, ICE was allowed to train at San Diego County’s firing range. They were worth an estimated $126,780, which made them small enough that administrators could approve them without the elected board ever voting on it. Since 2024, agents have logged around 3,350 hours of training there.
Residents started pushing back hard after they caught wind of it. Community educator Alondra Alvarez was clear: “If the county is serious about saying that immigrant families should not fear their local government, then county-owned and county-leased property cannot be used to train the federal immigration agencies driving that fear.”
On Tuesday, three Democrats on the board voted to end it. Supervisor Paloma Aguirre didn’t hold back: “The federal government cannot terrorize our families all week and rent our firing range on the weekend: not on this county, not anymore.”
The money could no longer rent this county’s silence.
Two Governors, One Answer: No
A year and a half ago, New York-based Doctor Margaret Carpenter was indicted by the state of Louisiana for prescribing abortion pills over telehealth visits. Louisiana’s governor asked New York to turn her in. Gov. Kathy Hochul said no. Established law allows Hochul to protect Dr. Carpenter.
On Thursday, Gov. Mikie Sherrill built the same kind of protection for New Jersey.
Now, no New Jersey officer can arrest a healthcare provider over legal care. Licensing boards can’t touch them, insurers can’t drop them, and the governor can’t turn them in for another state if they never set foot there.
Trenton City Councilwoman Jennifer Williams spent years pushing for this. On Thursday, she said the law “will save lives here in New Jersey.”
She’s not speaking hypothetically. Ask Dr. Carpenter.
The regime spent this week losing to a city, a county, a state, and an email it couldn’t bury. They are beatable. This is all proof of that.
The Dworkin Report exists to make sure you see those wins that are buried by the MAGA propaganda machine. And to investigate the regime in ways others won’t. Along with our enormous organizing machine both online and in Congressional offices. We do it all thanks to reader support.
So if you haven’t yet, join us today to help us flip Congress, together:
One more thing before you go—hit the ❤️ like button and restack this edition, if only for the Dearborn story. You can be the person who delivers this hopeful story. Thanks for all you do.
Onward!

What would you tell a child who told you they were scared right now?
