thank you Scott for all the clear insights you give me as we make our way through all the BS we hear from the White House. You are clearly one of the best to keep us apprised of all the things we can do. I’m in the the State of Washington and do All I can to make sure we keep our democracy and impeach trump and his staff at midterms

I need to rest my vocal cords after attending an ICE OUT FOR GOOD rally this afternoon in Charlotte, NC. I am currently sipping herbal tea with honey.

We were definitely fired up!

We need a separate action to compel Democrats in Congress to oppose approving the appropriations bill unless the funding for ICE is severely cut back, and enforceable restrictions on their activities are put into place. This should not even be up for debate within the party.

Here is hoping that the overwhelming response to Renee Nicole Good's murder by ICE and a groundswell of phone calls to both Democrats and Republicans in Congress lights a fire under them to rein in these ICE thugs!!

Yes my wife and I attended a local protest yesterday. The location was a busy intersection in a neighboring town. Hundreds of people attended. The best part was the huge amount of support from cars passing by, including a good number of 18-wheelers! To the few drivers that flipped us off, we blew kisses. You kinda have to pity their stunted hearts.

This public outcry is only going to get bigger.

We have been going to protests since February 2025, and are not about to stop at this juncture.✊🏼💙

I think this reflects the way things were across the country. It makes us feel empowered to DO something to fight fascism.

I go to one every Friday in a small nearby town. We generally have 50 to 60 people show up, and we get lots of honks.

Great response! And I'm pretty sure that your lack of a retaliatory response just p*sses them off more! They all seem to be raring for a fight!

⬆️"For these protests to have erupted spontaneously speaks volumes."

I agree percent. And it also evidence of the muscle we have built to allow us to organize and respond so rapidly.

My local indivisible chapter was a primary sponsor of the Hands Off and the two No Kings rallies. They trained dozens of people to be safety marshals for those earlier events and most of them showed up on short notice for the event this afternoon.

In fact, I'm not sure that there was a single safety marshal that I didn't recognize as a member of Indivisible Charlotte! I also saw a bunch of people in the audience that I recognized from our weekly Visibility protests.

I get a warm feeling knowing that I am in community with such caring people - both in real life and virtually through Substacks like this one.

We had a snowy candlelight vigil for Nicole Good. 15 of us reading and praying in the snow. I read the names of all killed while in the custody of ICE. Soothing to watch the snow blanket the land, giving peace to their names for that moment in time. Peace to their memories, ICE out for Good. Soldotna, Alaska.

Venezuela's oil is considered to be among the dirtiest in the world. It’s a thick, tar-like substance and will take years and billions of dollars to rebuild their neglected run-down infrastructure to extract and refine it. Apparently the oil companies aren’t keen to sign on.

Trump hinted American taxpayers would pay for it!!!! Really?!!! We have enough oil for the U.S. so it’s just greed and profit for him and his family.

Of course the current price of oil makes it unprofitable to extract this oil in the first place much less process it into something that has a market!

I attended a weekly protest near a retirement home in Portland Oregon neighborhood. A yukelale band on one corner and a guitar band on the other. 3-400 participants where we usually have 80. Sustained honking from traffic instead of beep-beeps. It’s building. Slowly.

Thanks for all the info, Scott....but above it all the images of the mass protests give the heart of this American such pride and a glimmer of hope. While I'm older and unable to join these demonstrations myself nowadays, to see the younger masses showing their malcontent is joyful. Did anyone else notice the looks JDVance and Rubio gave each other when Demented Donny got up and waddled over to the door to have a look-see at the site of his future Fascist dance hall? Rubio raised his eyebrows slightly at Vance, like “oh hell, now what?”, and Vance’s fake smile widened slightly then froze on his face and made him look even less lifelike than usual.
