Trump’s Mass Firings Blocked, Corrupt Land Grab Denied, and The People Say No Kings To His Abuse Of Power and Self-Dealing
Another bad week for the corrupt wannabe king
Resistance isn’t just defiance—it’s the foundation of a new era for the American people and the world. One rooted in justice, fueled by truth, and driven by unstoppable progress. I hope these stories give you some relief from the madness.
Before we jump in, I want to say thank you for being here. We can’t operate the longest-running opposition effort against Trump without your help. So if you haven’t yet, please join us as a paid subscriber today:
NO KINGS UPDATE
On Saturday, turnout for the No Kings protests could make for the largest mass demonstration in US history. There are now over 2,500 events planned in all 50 states, DC, US territories, and more than a dozen other countries.
For those who attend, let’s all remain vigilant, yet peaceful. If you can’t make it, be sure to help amplify the demonstrations on social media. Let’s go!
SWEAR GRIJALVA IN
On Tuesday, a group of Democratic lawmakers marched to Speaker Mike Johnson’s office, chanting: “Swear her in!” Johnson is still stalling the swearing-in of Rep.-Elect Adelita Grijalva—who will trigger a vote on releasing the Epstein files once seated.
Grijalva noted that 3 other Reps. were sworn in promptly after their special election wins—all white males. “700,000 people in Arizona deserve to have their voice heard,” Grijalva said. “If I were a Republican, I would’ve already been sworn in.”
CORRUPT LAND DEAL BLOCKED
A judge in Florida temporarily blocked Trump’s attempt to secure land for his presidential library—for now.
The land in downtown Miami, valued at $67 million, was quietly transferred for free from a local college to a state fund run by Gov. Ron DeSantis. Then, with no transparency, that fund handed it off to a foundation led by the Trump family.
These transactions reek of corruption, so I’m glad the court is stepping in. How much space does Trump really need for his ketchup, coloring books, and maga conspiracy theories anyway?
MASS FIRINGS HALTED
Trump was also blocked from firing thousands of federal workers during his ongoing government shutdown, overruling all reductions in force the regime has ordered since October 10.
Calling the firings illegal and politically motivated, the judge said the Trump regime seems to think “the laws don’t apply to them anymore.” The judge stated: “It’s very much ready, fire, aim on most of these programs, and it has a human cost ... that cannot be tolerated.”
KAMALA BASHES MAGA LIES
Former Vice President Kamala Harris continued her book tour this week in a conversation with journalist Kara Swisher.
Harris delivered a scathing rebuke of the Trump regime, stating: “To deny science and fire scientists … What they are doing to push misinformation and lies at the highest level of government—it’s criminal … it’s f**ked up.”
AOC AND BERNIE’S TOWN HALL
Last night, Dem Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders joined forces for a town hall hosted by CNN.
Bernie didn’t mince words, saying that “we are increasingly becoming an oligarchic form of society … If there was ever a time to stand up for working families and prevent authoritarianism, this is it.”
AOC dismantled Trump’s partisan cruelty, stating: “I don’t care if someone likes me or not ... I’m going to fight for them to have health care … [Trump] doesn’t want people based on their political affiliation to benefit.”
AOC is absolutely right. This wannabe dictator’s dangerous political games do nothing but hurt people—and that’s why I’ve stood up to him for nearly a decade now.
Our campaign against Trump is one of the longest-running ever, our enormous Contact Congress campaign is the most effective effort of its kind, and our social media organizing is unmatched. Just yesterday, we trended the hashtag “TrumpsShutdownDragsOn,” generating hundreds of millions of impressions.
We do all of this on top of our daily news brief without billionaires or ads—which means 100% of our work is funded by our Substack community.

I have two questions for you today.
Should the land transfer for Trump’s library be permanently blocked and investigated?
