Trump’s Map Scheme Got AOC’d, His Wind War Got Turbined, Jimmy Kimmel Got the Last Laugh, and More Great News
The regime’s losing streak continues
As the Trump dumpster fire of madness continues to burn, I’m glad to have some great news for you today. Powerful stories of resistance, courage, and voices too fierce to be silenced. Thanks for being here—let’s jump in.
PROTESTING SINCLAIR AND NEXSTAR
Protests are popping up outside headquarters for Sinclair and Nexstar—owners of many ABC affiliates who are still refusing to air Jimmy Kimmel’s show.
In Columbus, Ohio, at least 100 people demonstrated outside of Sinclair’s ABC6 station. Catherine Turcer of Common Cause Ohio said it was “an opportunity not just for Jimmy Kimmel to have a voice, but for all of us to have a voice.”
Meanwhile, dozens of folks protested outside of Nexstar’s headquarters in Irving, TX. Ellen Saler-Santini, who came dressed as Lady Liberty, stated: “F**k Nexstar … this regime … is taking away our rights.” Ellen is right. And it’s up to us to put a stop to it.
KIMMEL SOARS
Even though Sinclair and Nexstar refused to air Jimmy Kimmel Live! for 23% of US households, ratings for the show surged. Kimmel generated more than three times his average recent viewership, with 6.26 million people tuning in. Disney said Kimmel also garnered 26 million views online.
ONE OF THE WORST
We’ve reported on GOP Rep. Derrick Van Orden before, and it’s never been good. So I was happy to hear that folks in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, showed up to protest against his latest unhinged bill.
The legislation would halt federal funding to any “entities that employ individuals who condone and celebrate political violence.” This is a dangerous and slippery slope, where Van Orden’s true aim is to find ways to defund progressive groups.
Eau Claire City President Emily Berge, one of three candidates running against Van Orden, stated: “To threaten an entire community with financial harm because of a disagreement with speech is unconstitutional, un-American, and unacceptable.” Absolutely right.
WIND BEATS TRUMP AGAIN
A federal judge ruled that the Trump regime can no longer block a major renewable energy project called Revolution Wind. The wind farm, off the shores of Rhode Island and Connecticut, could power up to 325,000 homes with clean, sustainable energy.
According to CT Gov. Ned Lamont: “In less than a year, it’s going to bring down the price of electricity.” So of course, Trump’s against it.
AOC BACKS PROP 50
Dem Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is featured in a new ad supporting Prop 50, the ballot measure that would redraw California’s congressional map.
In the ad, AOC says: “Donald Trump is redrawing election maps ... If he gets away with it, all bets are off—for our health care, our paychecks, and our freedoms … with Prop 50, we can stop him … fight for democracy in all 50 states. Yes on 50.”
NEWSOM ON COLBERT
CA Gov. Gavin Newsom blasted the Trump regime this week during a fiery appearance on Stephen Colbert’s late night show.
He called out Bob Kennedy’s terrible health advice, saying California will make health decisions “on facts, based on science, not based on bulls**t and fear.”
Newsom also slammed Trump, stating: “We’re willing to fight, and not only fight symbolically by having a little bit of fun, but fight substantively. We have 41 lawsuits against this son of a b***h. We’re pushing back, and we’re winning, and we’re filling a void on a lot of issues.”
This is the kind of fire Democrats need to bring to the table. Which is exactly what we’ve been doing in our fight against Trump every day for nearly a decade.
And bad news for the Trump regime—they can’t ever cancel us. We don’t have bosses they can bully or advertisers they can abuse. They can’t stop us from delivering unfiltered news daily, flooding Congress with calls and letters, and running the biggest social media operation against Trump ever.

I have two questions for you today.
Do you support California’s redistricting effort?
Do you think Sinclair and Nexstar will fold to public pressure and put Kimmel back on the air soon?

I don’t agree with what republicans are doing at all. Giving no deference to voters or common sense.
What California is doing is different and I’m 100% behind it.
