AOC's Blistering Rebuke Of Fascism, Houlahan Interrupts Mike Johnson’s Lies, and Democrats Show What Real Leadership Looks Like In A Week Full of Wins
The resistance isn’t waiting for permission
While Trump and Republicans are still processing the fact that they got completely demolished in Tuesday’s election, I’m glad to have more great news for you today.
With momentum on our side, now is the time to start going on offense against this regime—and we need all hands on deck. HOGG SLAMS SCOTT JENNINGS
During a CNN debate about the NYC Mayor’s race Monday night, David Hogg slammed conservative mouthpiece Scott Jennings for criticizing Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani: “People are tired of being lectured by men with Rolexes on CNN about affordability in this country.”
Jennings is one of the worst commentators in corporate media, so it’s great to see him getting called out.
MIKE JOHNSON CONFRONTED
Yesterday, Mike Johnson did another one of his lie-filled propaganda press conferences. As you can see from the image above, people were thrilled to be there—checking their watches, eyes closed, etc.
Then, Dem Rep. Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania interrupted, slamming Johnson for his ongoing government shutdown: “I’m asking you a question, if you’re ready to have a conversation with the other side … You have an obligation to call the leadership of both parties and bring us together and solve this problem.”
A clearly rattled Johnson tried to lie and move on to a question from a reporter, but Houlahan pushed back: “You are absolutely misrepresenting history ... and you’re dividing the American people.”
MARYLAND REDISTRICTING
Maryland Gov. Wes Moore is launching a redistricting commission, with the goal of redrawing the state’s congressional map before the 2026 midterms. Moore stated: “My commitment has been clear from day one—we will explore every avenue possible to make sure Maryland has fair and representative maps.”
Meanwhile, Kansas Republicans announced they are dropping a bid to gerrymander the state’s congressional map in Trump’s favor—citing a lack of GOP support. Kansas’ only Dem Member of Congress, Rep. Sharice Davids, said: “We’ve won the first round in this fight.”
THE SENATE IS “IN PLAY NEXT YEAR”
On Tuesday night, former US Senator from Missouri Claire McCaskill made a bold prediction for the 2026 Midterms.
“There’s [candidates for Senate] like Sherrod Brown and Roy Cooper that are very happy tonight,” McCaskill said. “We didn’t think the Senate was going to be in play next year. I think after tonight, the Senate’s definitely in play.” I absolutely agree.
FOX BLAMES TRUMP
After Fox “News” called the race for NJ Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill, they shared a poll via their own network that blamed Trump for the huge GOP loss. Their analyst said: “The Trump impact on the Sherrill voters—the reason for their vote … 71%” to oppose Trump. “This is really what led to the outcome tonight.”
AOC ON THE ELECTION
Dem Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made the rounds doing interviews at Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani’s victory party.
AOC said even though Mamdani “had to defeat a Republican and the old guard of the Democratic party at the same time … he still won resoundingly. And I think the message that that sends, is that the Democratic Party cannot last much longer by denying the future ... by trying to undercut a next generation of diverse and upcoming Democrats.”
In a separate interview, AOC put folks on notice, stating: “We have a future to fight for, and we’re either going to do that together or you’re going to be left behind … That is not a partisan issue … This is about, do you understand the assignment of fighting fascism right now?”
We absolutely understand the assignment, which is why I’ve spent every day for the last decade taking on Trump. And now, independent journalism is one of the best ways to fight back against his unhinged regime.

I have two questions for you today.
Do you think the Senate is in play for Democrats in 2026?
What do you think is the main reason Republicans lost big on Tuesday?

Today we are focused on:

Yes! The senate is in play!!! Reason for the huge wins is a result of, in my opinion, that people are finally realizing that trump and his followers are just a bunch of lying_______(fill in the blank!) lol. Great post Scott-thanks!!
