Army Secretary Tells Hegseth No, Montana Clears Path To Kill Citizens United, and a Small Town Beats Trump's Big Tech Allies At The Ballot Box
Plus, a judge called DOJ’s bluff
A town of 12,000 people just beat Trump’s Big Tech billionaire allies at the ballot box and corporate media barely covered it. Make sure people see what actually happened—smash the ❤️ like button and re-stack this right now.
We’ve been fighting Trump since 2016—with no advertisers, no corporate influence, and no billionaire in the back room. Everything we do runs entirely on paid subscribers. If you haven’t yet, join us today:
ARMY SECRETARY TELLS HEGSETH NO
Paranoid Pete Hegseth has spent months trying to force Army Secretary Dan Driscoll out of the Pentagon. He fired Driscoll’s ally, Army Chief of Staff Gen. Randy George, right in the middle of Trump’s attacks on Iran.
Driscoll refused for months to remove Black and female Army officers from the promotion list. Hegseth struck their names himself anyway—likely without the legal authority to do so.
Driscoll is JD Vance’s Yale Law School friend—and the White House told Hegseth he can’t touch him. So he’s been trying to make him quit instead. A current US official said Hegseth is “just really uncomfortable with anyone who could potentially be outshining him.”
The scheme is failing. Driscoll put it in writing on Tuesday: “I have no plans to depart or resign as the Secretary of the Army.” Retired Army reserve Col. Kevin Carroll summed up the internal battle: “It’s not like Driscoll is scheming and plotting to make Hegseth look bad. Hegseth takes care of that himself on a regular basis.”
MONTANA CLEARS PATH TO KILL CITIZENS UNITED
Sixteen years ago, the Supreme Court handed corporations the power to buy American elections and called it free speech. Montana just found an exit ramp.
The Montana Plan—a proposed Montana ballot measure that’s gaining steam—doesn’t overturn Citizens United. It goes around it. States grant corporate charters and decide the powers those charters include. It would simply remove “spending in elections” from those powers, killing dark money at the source.
The Montana Mining Association and the Montana Chamber of Commerce immediately ran to court to kill it before voters could sign on. But on April 2, the Montana Supreme Court rejected them 7-0.
You don’t file an emergency lawsuit to stop something you’re not afraid of. Seventy-four percent of Montana voters support it—including a majority of Republicans and independents. The campaign is driving toward a June 19 signature deadline—and the momentum is there.
Sixteen years of “nothing you can do.” Montana voters are doing something. We all should.
A JUDGE CALLED THE REGIME’S BLUFF
Last year the regime illegally deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia, in direct violation of a court order. They sent him to El Salvador’s notorious CECOT—a mega-prison which human rights groups have described as a torture facility. The Supreme Court ordered him returned.
The regime brought him back and immediately charged him with human smuggling based on a 2022 traffic stop—where he was released without a ticket. No warning, no citation, nothing. An injunction was put in place to stop the regime from deporting him again while that case proceeded.
The DOJ went to US District Judge Paula Xinis in Maryland and tried to deport him again anyway—this time to Liberia.
Xinis called their bluff: “You can’t have it both ways—he physically needs to be in this country to be prosecuted.” She said their arguments were “one empty threat after another” and didn’t budge. The injunction stands.
The regime walked into court trying to disappear a man, and walked out with nothing.
A TOWN HANDS TRUMP’S ALLIES A BIG LOSS
One town in Wisconsin just beat some of the richest companies on earth at the ballot box. Voters in Port Washington went to the polls Tuesday and passed a referendum with 66% voting in favor. It gives residents the power to reject future large developments—effectively blocking a proposed $458 million mega data center that was backed by Big Tech.
They organized on Facebook, got arrested at a public meeting, and won big. That’s not a miracle—that’s what happens when people decide they’ve had enough.
America is not going to be saved by billionaires, algorithms, executive orders, or dark money super PACs. It has always been saved by people in communities like Port Washington, who saw a massive backroom deal and said: not on our watch.
The resistance lives in our council chambers, courtrooms, and polling places. It lives wherever someone decides that the game isn’t over just because the powerful say so.
We are not spectators in this fight—we never have been. We’ve been taking on Trump since 2016. Without advertisers or billionaires, without anyone telling us what to cover or how to say it. Just reader-funded journalism and the unrelenting belief that this country belongs to its people.
If you believe that too, become a paid subscriber and help us turn Trump into the lame duck he deserves to be:
Hit the ❤️ like button and re-stack this edition now. Montana just found a way to cut corporate money out of elections entirely. Make sure everyone sees it before the regime buries it.
Onward!
