BERNIE IN CHICAGO

Sen. Bernie Sanders held another “Fighting Oligarchy” event in Chicago last night. There was a massive turnout. Sanders also rallied large crowds in Iowa, Michigan, and Wisconsin this weekend. His tour’s now been to seventeen states.

Calling Trump a “demagogue,” Sanders said: “People on top never had it so good. But for working people the system is broken ... And our job right now is to tell the oligarchs on top, their day has come and gone. We’re going to reclaim this nation.”

LITTLE TOKYO STANDS UP

A large crowd turned out to protest the Trump regime in Los Angeles’s Little Tokyo Historic District on Saturday.

Organizers sounded the alarm on Trump’s abusive immigration policies, which they said are reminiscent of WWII-era Japanese internment camps.

The demonstration took place outside the Japanese American National Museum, where its CEO Ann Burrows said: “We will not bow to any pressure to erase history, to change our exhibits, to change the way we tell the story, or to change the way we honor history, and the people who made that history.”

TRUTH LIE SOCIAL

In recent weeks, Trump’s social media platform Truth Social launched its very own AI chatbot. Funny thing is, it disagrees with and fact-checks a lot of the things Trump pathologically lies about—even though most of the chatbot’s sources are conservative.

My favorite instance was when it made clear that the 2020 election was not stolen and that Trump lost. No matter where he goes, Trump can’t dodge the truth.

THE BOB KENNEDY VIRUS

More than 750 Health and Human Services employees sent a letter to members of Congress and Bob Kennedy, demanding he stop spreading “dangerous and deceitful" misinformation.

In the letter, it blasts Kennedy for being “complicit in dismantling America's public health infrastructure,” and says the CDC shooting from a few weeks ago was driven by “politicized rhetoric.” Kennedy’s lies are deadly, so I’m glad they’re publicly standing up to him.

HOCHUL ON OFFENSE

Responding to a CNN headline on “back-to-school sticker shock” due to Trump’s trade wars, NY Gov. Kathy Hochul slammed the regime: “Sellout Stefanik and Donald Trump are jacking up prices on back-to-school shopping with their tariff tax hikes.”

Hochul added: “We are fighting back. It’s why I’ve cut middle class taxes—and why I’m putting money back in your pocket with inflation refund checks.”

WES MOORE BRINGS IT

Maryland Gov. Wes Moore—an Army Veteran who served in Afghanistan—called out Trump’s threat to send the National Guard into Baltimore. Moore also invited Trump to join him in the city for a public safety walk, but Trump refused. Moore even said: “We can get you a golf cart if that makes things easier. Just let my team know.”

Moore didn’t stop there, stating at an event: “This is a community that does not look at Baltimore like a punch line … Specifically—Donald Trump if you are not willing to walk our communities, keep our name out of your mouth.”

It’s great to see so many Democratic Governors stepping up when we need them most. Taking on Trump is not easy. I know, I’ve done it for nearly ten years. But there’s no way I’m going to back down now. I never have, and I never will.
