President Biden delivered remarks at the 115th NAACP Convention today. He walked into the room with a standing ovation, and chants of “4 more years!”
Biden was more energetic during this NAACP speech than he has been on the campaign trail in months. Joe showed up today, and left no doubt that he absolutely is in this race to win it.
The President was animated, fired up and was angry at times about things that Trump has said, especially about “Black jobs,” and lies that Donald has told about Black unemployment.
Here are some key quotes from President Biden’s speech:
Truman said you want a friend in Washington, ‘get a dog.’ Guess what? After the last couple of weeks, I know what he means.
Let me say this again, because Trump is lying like hell about it. Black unemployment hit a record low under the Biden-Harris Administration.
Sandy Hook and Uvalde, concertgoers in Las Vegas…If you’re going to be outspoken on one, don’t be silent on others. If we’re gonna speak about violence, we’re gonna speak about guns.
Folks, I know what a “Black job” is, it’s the Vice President of the United States. I know what a “Black job” is, the first Black President in American history, Barack Obama.
You might not even seen this speech on mainstream media, which is ridiculous. We will continue to give President Biden fair coverage. And warn everyone about the dangers of a Trump Project 2025 presidency, while applying massive pressure on mainstream media to do the same.
