There are so many horrible illegal acts that Trump and his regime are committing on a daily basis. So I’m glad to have another round of good news for you today. I hope it gives you a bit of relief from the madness, even if just for a moment. Let’s get to it.
Former President Joe Biden returned yesterday for his first big speech since leaving office. Biden slammed Trump, saying in less than 100 days, his administration “has done so much damage, and so much destruction.”
Biden then tore into Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, saying he “doesn’t seem to get it.” Referring to Lutnick’s dismissive comment that his mother-in-law wouldn’t complain about missed Social Security checks, Biden said: “No kidding, her son-in-law’s a billionaire.”
Joe railed on Elon Musk for lying about Social Security, stating: “A Ponzi scheme? What the hell are they talking about? People earned these benefits ... And no one, no one, no one should take it away.”
Biden also laid into the GOP, saying they are “willing to hurt the middle class, and the working class, in order to deliver significant greater wealth to the already very wealthy. Who in the hell do they think they are?”
In classic Joe Biden fashion, he ended on a heartfelt note: “Social Security is about more than retirement accounts. It’s about honoring a fundamental trust between government and people. It’s about peace of mind ... It’s about who we are as Americans … Nobody’s king … Everybody has a shot.”
Republicans, meanwhile, continue to fail spectacularly at town halls. GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley held one where he stood there in a daze, while people demanded answers. It was pathetic.
GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene kept getting interrupted by protesters at her town hall, with one holding a sign that read “Jail 4 Insider Traders.” Others shouted at Greene as they were escorted out, while a demonstration took place outside of the event.
Elsewhere, maga cult members surrounded a Tesla dealership—claiming they were protecting it. Ironically, it only drove people away. Funny enough, in one video, none of them were actually driving a Tesla. Well done, maga.
Dem Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders continued their “Fight Oligarchy” tour yesterday, with 2 rallies in California. Nearly 5,000 people showed up to the one in Bakersfield, and the line to get into the Folsom rally stretched for more than 3 miles.
AOC ripped on the GOP Rep. from the Bakersfield area, saying: “We must start working right now to give David Valadao the boot, and replace him with a brawling Democrat, who will stand up for the working people of this community.”
Sanders said: “Are you on the side of the billionaire class, or are you on the side of the working class of this country? We know which side we are on.”
So do we, Bernie! Yesterday, in honor of Tax Day, we ran a #BillionaireTaxBailout campaign. It generated more than 250 million impressions, and even trended on Musk’s X/Twitter. Great work everyone!
