On Tuesday, VP Kamala Harris took the time to go on Jimmy Kimmel Live! And the VP absolutely crushed it.
Of course, the mainstream media is too focused on what kind of hamburger Trump had for breakfast to cover our Vice President’s statements on a wide range of important issues.
Not only was the appearance powerful, the VP also painted the clearest picture yet of the stark differences between Trump and Biden.
Here are some of the highlights from VP Harris’s interview with Kimmel:
Trump is to blame for repealing Roe
“The highest court in our land took a constitutional right from the people of America, from the women of America. And understand who is to blame: the former president, Donald Trump, hand-picked three members of the United States Supreme Court with the intention that they would undo the protections of Roe v. Wade, and they did as he intended.”
Trump is absolutely to blame for repealing Roe.
Having faith doesn’t mean “pro-life”
“One does not have to abandon their faith or deeply held beliefs to agree the government should not be telling her what to do with her body.”
This right here. A thousand times this.
Trump will try to rid of Obamacare again
“The previous president … supported and fanned the flames of at least 60 attempts to undo the Affordable Care Act. Let's remember what the Affordable Care Act did. Among many things, it said preexisting health conditions cannot be the basis of a health insurance company denying you coverage.”
Trump tried to repeal Obamacare, that alone should be the end of his candidacy.
It was a legit trial
“A jury of 12 people, peers, over the course of six weeks, deliberated on the evidence and facts and unanimously determined guilt. Thirty-four felony counts. There was a defense attorney who actively participated in selecting that jury, who actively made decisions about witnesses to call, witnesses to cross-examine. And the jury made their decision.”
This is a great way to respond to any liars who claim Trump’s trial was rigged.
How it’s done
“Cheaters don't like getting caught and being held accountable … I think the American people want to know that there is a president who believes they are accountable to the people. And also a president who the people can count on – in all seriousness – who people can count on to do things like cap the cost of insulin at $35 a month, take on Big Pharma and negotiate drug prices down for the American people.”
Notice how smoothly VP Harris went from talking about Trump’s indictment, and was able transition to very clear accomplishments from the Biden-Harris Administration. This is how it’s done.
A simple answer on weed
“I think we both agree people shouldn't have to go to jail for smoking weed.”
Agreed.
A warning about Trump
“He has been very clear. He intends to weaponize The Department of Justice against his political enemies. He admires dictators and says he'll be a dictator on ‘day one.’”
Even though he’s a pathological liar, we need to believe Trump when he says this.
Our President and Vice President are doing their jobs and delivering for the American people. It’s on us to vote, organize and do everything we can to make sure they stay in the White House for four more years!
Mainstream media might not have spent time on this amazing appearance by VP Harris, but we did. And we will keep doing it. But we could use your help. If you haven’t already please support our reporting by becoming a paid subscriber today:

One of the best things VP Harris said was in response to Kimmel's question about Trump supporters:
'A certain perverse thing has happened over several years in our country which suggests the measure of a leader is based on who you beat down instead of who you lift up; that suggests it's a sign of weakness to have empathy."
She then pointed out that she and the President take the opposite view, that it's about lifting up as many people as possible. Brilliant interview, brilliantly handled by our VP who too often is underestimated, especially by people in the media.
Thanks for pointing this out. She did really well. (And I love that picture!)
