Buttigieg Goes on Fox "News" and Calls Out Their Lies

Today Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg went on Fox “News” to have a nice wide-ranging chat. Let’s just say it did not go as they planned.

As we all know, Fox lies incessantly to undermine President Biden and to cover for Trump. One of those lies they have constantly circulated is about crime rates in the United States. The fact is that crime skyrocketed under Trump and it has seen a historic drop under President Biden. And the murder rate fell at one of the fastest rates ever recorded.

Fox can’t help themselves but to exaggerate individual crimes, exploit the victims and twist the truth in hopes of brainwashing people into believing crime is up. That is just not the case.

We talk a lot about how the mainstream media is constantly lying and skewing facts about Biden and Harris to get clicks and ratings.

Well, today Pete was having none of it.

On whether Kamala Harris is ready to be President:

The idea that somebody hasn't been tested or vetted when they have been Vice President of the United States for nearly four years just doesn't make any sense.

Calling Trump a liar on Fox:

He even broke his promise to that J6 mob when he said, 'I will be at your side when you march down to the Capitol.' But he actually did keep two promises: He kept his promise to destroy the right to choose in this country, and he kept his promise on tax cuts to the rich...he lies all the time.

Slamming Trump’s cognitive decline:

Unlike Republicans who in Trump's personality cult will take a look at Donald Trump and say he's perfectly fine even though he seemed unable to tell the difference between Haley and Pelosi, even though he's rambling about electrocuting sharks and Hannibal Lecter...we don't have that kind of warped reality on our side.

Calling out Fox on Fox:

Crime is down under Joe Biden and crime was up under Donald Trump. I don't know how often that gets reported on this network, but if you're watching this at home, do yourself a favor and look up the data. Why would America want to go back to the higher crime that we experienced under Donald Trump?

This is the fire we need. I want to see more Democrats calling out Fox “News” and any other network on the spot, directly, for their lies, and failure to cover Trump properly.
