This week, allies made it clear they take Trump’s threats seriously, but they also won’t be bullied.
Donald’s Putin-esque attacks against our allies are offensive, childish, and they weaken America. His maniacal unpredictability makes us a liability on the global stage, which puts us all in danger.
Since there is so much awful coverage in corporate media, the reports of how world leaders responded have been buried or ignored altogether. So I wanted to put it all in one place for everyone.
After Trump said he would use economic attacks to absorb Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently said there isn't "a snowball's chance in hell" of that happening. Ontario Premier Doug Ford joked, “How about if we buy Alaska, and we'll throw in Minnesota and Minneapolis at the same time.”
Regarding Donald’s threats, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said, “Greenland is not for sale.” Greenland’s Prime Minister Múte Egede doubled down, saying it will "never be for sale.”
Panama President José Raúl Mulino didn’t pull any punches either, stating that “every square meter” of the canal “will continue belonging to Panama.”
And Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum responded to Trump’s desire to rename the Gulf of Mexico, saying maybe they should call the US “Mexican America...It sounds nice, no?”
Even some of our most important allies spoke out forcefully against Trump’s vision for imperialistic expansion. The French Foreign Minister said: “There is no question of the EU letting other nations in the world, whoever they may be, attack its sovereign borders.”
And German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said: “Borders must not be moved by force. This principle applies to every country, whether in the East or the West.” He’s not talking about Putin or Xi Jinping there—he’s talking about Trump. Though the statement could apply to any of them.
When we piece all of the responses together, we can see Trump is an international menace. And our allies are not going to put up with Donald’s nonsense a second time.
Unfortunately, corporate media is too busy salivating over Trump’s threats and lies to give you the whole picture.
That’s why I weed through the Trump mess—so you don’t have to. I’ll always give it to you straight, never sanewashing the story like the Press does.
As always, we’ll be sharing this message with millions of people on 10 social media networks—to break through the echo chamber, and make sure we get as far of a reach as possible.
And we’re still hammering Trump’s key cabinet picks like no one else is doing. We’ve already sent more than 103,000 letters to Senators, urging they oppose 9 of the most unfit nominees. Now is the time to punch our foot on the gas, as confirmation hearings begin next week.

Trump should maybe focus on helping Americans, instead of starting wars with allies. Just a thought.
Onward!

What do you think about Trump’s threats? How serious should they be taken? Is he just trying to distract us from his horrible cabinet picks, or something even worse?

Off topic , Scott, but as I watch Jimmy Carter’s funeral service, my wish is that the President Elect had 1/1,000 of Carter’s moral code. He doesn’t so we must protest his guaranteed threat to our Democracy! Onward!
