Dreadful News For Trump That’s Great For Us

It’s Thursday and I’m happy to bring you another Great News report today. Thanks so much for taking the time to read it—I’m glad you’re here! Let’s jump in.

Sore loser Jefferson Griffin—the Republican nominee in the 2024 North Carolina Supreme Court race—finally conceded yesterday, a whopping 183 days after the polls closed. Griffin was clearly trying to steal the election by canceling out votes—including those cast by members of the military.

On top of that, Republicans are still trying to disenfranchise people through voter ID laws, obscene gerrymandering, and with bills like the SAVE Act—which could make it extremely difficult to vote if you’ve changed your last name.

In America, all politicians should be fighting for every vote, and working to make voting easier. Anyone doing the opposite should be shunned from public life forever—because attacking the right to vote, is about as un-American as it gets.

Congrats to Associate Justice of the NC Supreme Court, Allison Riggs.

Tony Ortiz, a City Commissioner in Orlando, Florida, has switched parties from Republican to Democrat, saying the GOP “is not the party I signed up with ... The marginalization of Latinos and immigrants … is not leadership. It’s fear-based politics.” Absolutely right.

Ortiz also said the decision was pretty easy, due to “attacks on Medicaid expansion and the erosion of social safety nets … political theater used to target the LGBTQ+ community, punish public school teachers and erase inclusive history from classrooms.”

In an interview with BBC, Former President Joe Biden went after Trump’s bizarre and increasingly unhinged rhetoric about Greenland, Panama, and Canada, saying: “What the hell's going on here? What president ever talks like that?”

Biden slammed Trump’s strategy for dealing with Putin, calling it “foolish,” and “modern-day appeasement.” Biden also called Trump’s Oval Office ambush on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “beneath America.” It sure was.

Dem Rep. Jasmine Crockett was on MSNBC last night, where she stated: “I cannot wait until voters have an opportunity to say: ‘You took food out of my mouth. You took a roof from over my head. You are responsible for making sure that I do not have health care. I'm going to make sure you don't have a job.’”
