NEWSOM’S MESSAGE

In an interview with my friend Brian Tyler Cohen, CA Gov. Gavin Newsom had some strong words for elected Dems: “Step up ... [Trump and the GOP] have been defining the terms of the debate. It’s time to get off our heels, onto our front toes.” He’s absolutely right.

Newsom closed with: “Dominate the narrative, flood the zone. And surround sound. It’s time for us to all band together.” This is the kind of swagger and confidence every Democrat should have.

CROCKETT ON THE FUTURE

Dem Rep. Jasmine Crockett hit back hard after Trump dubbed her “the future” of the Democratic Party on Friday.

Crockett agreed, saying Dems aren’t looking for “convicted felons to lead our country, but instead looking for leaders that will bring us together, have a moral compass, & fight for brighter days for ALL AMERICANS!” So true.

WALZ DEFENDS TRUTH

The Trump regime is not only trying to rewrite the history books, they’re now doing a “review” of all Smithsonian museums. In reality, they just want to whitewash the past to try and make Trump look good—which is absolutely ludicrous.

MN Gov. Tim Walz made it clear: “If you're trying to erase history, you're on the wrong side of it.” Spot on.

FIONA HILL CORRECTS THE RECORD

Yesterday, Fiona Hill called out Trump’s lies. Hill, a former intel analyst under Bush and Obama, also worked on Trump’s National Security Council for more than 2 years.

On Friday, Trump spread the lie—citing Putin—that no countries allow mail-in voting. Hill debunked it: “Putin signed into law Russians being able to vote by mail and … more than 30 other countries also allow some forms of mail-in voting.”

Hill also explained why Trump repeated such a brazen lie: “It's a pure blatant piece of manipulation, and that's the kind of thing that Putin likes to do.” Trump’s so deranged.

RUBIO ROASTS HIMSELF

Yesterday, Marco Rubio—who is serving as Trump’s Secretary of State and NSA—got thrown to the wolves on Sunday’s news shows.

When asked what concessions the Trump regime got from Russia, Rubio replied like a middle-schooler: “I wouldn't name them on your program.” Oh, ok.

Then, on Meet The Press, Rubio was shown a clip of himself in 2022 saying this about Putin: “You can’t cut a deal with guys like this. He’s a professional, experienced, liar.” Rubio struggled to give a coherent response. It was pathetic.

A BIG DAY FOR ZELENSKY

Today, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is in DC, where he will be joined by several European leaders. After arriving in the US, Zelensky said: “Russia must end this war, which it itself started. And I hope that our joint strength with America, with our European friends, will force Russia into a real peace.” So do I.

I’m sure Trump will pull another unhinged stunt—and I will be here to fact-check and expose his lies right out the gate.
