Access Denied

A Southwest gate agent in Dallas, Texas, said no when an ICE officer demanded to board the plane. The officer didn’t have a warrant signed by a judge. He asked for the passenger list and got another no, then asked to see the screen as people boarded and got a third. The officer left with no arrest.

A Judge Started Charging Them Daily

Judge Maame Ewusi-Mensah Frimpong ordered DHS to turn over phone data from federal agents tied to Los Angeles raids. The government stalled, so the judge found them in contempt and is charging them $500 a day until the evidence is received.

A Trump Judge Made The Pentagon Answer

The Pentagon didn’t reject wind projects, it just sat on the applications for a year. Judge Karin Immergut, whom Trump put on the bench, ordered the reviews to start again and told the Pentagon to file a report every thirty days proving it. Pete Hegseth has homework now, assigned by a judge his boss chose.

Doctors And Patients Decide

Massachusetts bans abortions for women more than 24 weeks pregnant unless they meet one of four criteria written by politicians. This week, Gov. Maura Healey signed that away. Starting in November, doctors and patients decide.

Cities Sent The Cameras Back

Thousands of American cities have Flock Safety cameras that capture every car that drives past. They were supposed to catch criminals. But after cameras sent false alerts to police, communities have pushed back hard. Now, at least fifty-four cities across twenty-three states have cancelled their Flock agreements. Pressure works.

Judge Saves 116,000 Votes

In Shasta County, California, they passed something called Measure B to get rid of voting by mail—and erase the county’s voter list, forcing all 116,000 people to re-register three months before Election Day. The state sued, and a judge blocked it. Nobody has to re-register. Nobody loses their ballot.

Deep Red School Board Goes Blue

In Knox County, Tennessee, Brandy Jenkins won a school board seat Republicans held for eight years. Her win clinched a 5-4 Democratic majority in a county Trump carried by nearly twenty points.

Every Mail Ballot Is Covered

Trump tried to use the Postal Service to destroy mail-in voting. Judge Indira Talwani had already blocked it in twenty-three states and DC, and this week she blocked it nationwide. She wrote that with less than ninety days to the election, voters need to know how they can vote.
