Great News That’s Terrible For Trump: He Lost Missouri, Kansas, and A Congressman
Eight wins in seven days, starting with an eighty-to-twenty beating from his own voters
Good morning. Grab your coffee or whatever you’re drinking and take a seat with me for a few minutes. I’ve got eight wins for you this week I’m proud to share.

Most of what I do is free for everyone, and I’ll always keep it that way. But this work costs money. We’re independent because no advertiser or billionaire would ever let us run the campaigns we do or investigate the stories we dig into. So if you haven’t yet, I hope you’ll join us as a paid subscriber today:
Red State Voters Crushed Both GOP Amendments
Republicans in Missouri put two amendments on the ballot on Tuesday. One would gut the citizen initiative process for getting things onto the ballot. The other would phase out the state’s income tax and let lawmakers raise sales taxes on anything they want to cover it, without ever asking voters again. Missourians killed both of them by a landslide.
Kansas Said No To A Court Takeover
Kansas Republicans really want to have a different state Supreme Court. They’re mad about the one they have protecting abortion access and funding schools. They asked voters to start electing Supreme Court justices, and the voters rejected them on Tuesday.
Your Voter File Is Still Out Of His Hands
The DOJ’s been suing states all year to get your voter file, and they want the whole thing, including your driver’s license and Social Security numbers. On Monday, Judge Philip Brimmer threw out the Colorado case for good. On Thursday, another judge did the same in DC. That’s 31 lawsuits and 21 dismissals and zero wins. Even the judges Trump appointed himself won’t give it to him.
New Citizens Can Get Help Registering Again
The League of Women Voters registered around 122,000 new voters in 2024 at naturalization ceremonies. Last August the Trump regime kicked them out. On Monday, Judge Adam Abelson blocked the ban saying it looks like discrimination.
A Court Stopped His $20 Billion Raid
EPA head Lee Zeldin tried to take back $20 billion that wasn’t his. It was money Congress appropriated to help people save money on their power bills. On Tuesday an appeals court stopped him, saying he probably broke the law.
A Court Told Him To Stop Building
Trump tore down the whole East Wing of the White House in three days last October so he could build himself a ballroom. He never asked Congress, and Congress is who actually controls that building. On Friday, an appeals court told him to stop building above ground.
Two Staffers Ended A Congressman’s Career
Two women who worked for GOP Rep. Chuck Edwards reported how he was treating them. On Monday, the House Ethics Committee said there was substantial reason to believe he broke the rules against sexual harassment. He announced at 3:32 in the morning on Wednesday that he isn’t running again. Not exactly a proud exit.
New Mexico Is Suing For The Epstein Files
Rachel Benavidez went to the New Mexico Capitol on Wednesday and told lawmakers again that Epstein abused her at Zorro Ranch. She first came forward seven years ago and still has no answers. A few hours later the state’s attorney general, Raúl Torrez—after asking 10 times and getting nothing—sued the Justice Department and Todd Blanche to force out the unredacted files.
We investigate and report the stories that need a spotlight. In addition, we run the enormous pressure campaigns on Congress while organizing on social media making us impossible to ignore. Since November of 2024 alone we’ve organized countless calls and more than 804,000 letters to Congress—millions since 2016.
