Minnesota Arrested The Agent Abbott Tried To Shield
Suspended ICE agent Christian Castro was arrested in Minneapolis on September 16, after Texas Gov. Greg Abbott spent months blocking his return. Castro fired through a closed door, hitting a man inside, then claimed he’d been attacked with a broom and a snow shovel for roughly three minutes. City video shows the attack he described never happened. He faces state assault charges no president can pardon.
Solar For All Is Back
Trump appointee Judge Mary McElroy put $7 billion back into play to help cut power bills for lower-income families. She ruled the EPA broke the law when it killed Solar for All, whose grants were already awarded to help more than 900,000 households.
Vermont And Washington Said No. DOJ Lost Again.
Vermont Secretary of State Sarah Copeland Hanzas refused to hand over the state’s full voter list with birthdays, driver’s license numbers and partial Social Security numbers. Last week, Judge Mary Kay Lanthier threw out the regime’s lawsuit, finding no legal authority or factual basis. On Tuesday, a judge in Washington state tossed the regime’s case there, too. That’s 25 straight district court losses.
Judges Ruled Against Trump’s Surprise Deportations
Three appeals judges unanimously backed Judge Brian Murphy, affirming that the regime can’t deport people to countries they aren’t from without any real warning and a chance to say they’d be in danger.
California Made Ordering A Ballot Grab A Felony
Whoever orders ballots seized before an election is certified in California now faces up to four years behind bars. Gov. Gavin Newsom signed the law after Republican Sheriff Chad Bianco seized about 650,000 Riverside County ballots over a claimed counting error. The county’s elections chief put the real gap at 103 votes, on a measure that won there by more than 80,000.
A Rochester Dad Told Off ICE And Won
Judge Rudolph Contreras ordered ICE to back off David Streever, a dad from Rochester, New York, who sent the head of ICE a furious email. Five months later, two agents traveled more than 330 miles to his home with a “WARNING NOTICE” saying he could be prosecuted. In court, the regime never argued the email was a threat.
Kentucky Just Erased $103 Million In Medical Debt
More than $103 million in medical debt is already gone for over 46,000 Kentuckians, and letters are arriving now to let them know about it. Gov. Andy Beshear sent $2.5 million to a nonprofit that buys medical debt for pennies on the dollar and wipes it out. The full program is set to clear about $250 million for more than 130,000 people. Nobody had to apply.
Delivery Workers Made DoorDash Pay $131.5 Million
DoorDash is paying a record $131.5 million after New York City found it shortchanged more than 260,000 delivery workers. Those never paid get about triple what they were owed. Queens delivery worker Rosendo Tacam, who says DoorDash cut him off without paying his last week, was one of the first to complain.
