Grijalva Refuses To Cower Before Armed ICE Agents As Mark Kelly Defies Hegseth’s Threats and Biden Issues A Direct Command To Every American To Get Up and Fight
The resistance is unbreakable
Before we start another week of Trump’s tantrums, I’m glad to share more great news for you today. I hope it gives you some relief—even if only for a moment.
While corporate media chases clicks and caters to their sponsors, The Dworkin Report remains 100% reader-funded. That means no puff pieces on Trump, no hidden agendas, and no ads cluttering your screen. Our loyalty is only to our community here and the unvarnished truth. Thanks for being here. Let’s jump in.
NEWSOM TROLLS TRUMP ON FAKE AWARD
California Gov. Gavin Newsom hilariously mocked Trump’s fake FIFA Peace Award this weekend. Newsom’s Press Office posted what was clearly an AI image of him in front of a Kohl’s store, stating that he had been “awarded inaugural Kohl’s Peace Prize ... comes with $50 in Kohl’s cash.” What a deal!
MARK KELLY’S TOWN HALL
Hundreds of folks gathered for a town hall with Dem Sen. Mark Kelly in Tucson, Arizona this week, where he blasted Pete Hegseth’s threat to court-martial him. Calling it “certainly unconstitutional,” Kelly said: “They’re not serious people and I’m not backing down.”
Regarding all of the regime’s threats, Kelly told Hegseth he could “take a hike ... Or he can try to prosecute me. But I’m not going away.”
BIDEN’S STRONG MESSAGE
Former President Joe Biden urged everyone to keep fighting for equality during a passionate speech at the International LGBTQ+ Leaders Conference in DC on Friday. “This is no time to give up,” Biden stated. “Get up. Get up and fight back!”
Biden said: “There is nothing more American than the notion of equality … giving the opportunity to be treated with basic decency.” He added: “There are young people sitting home alone as I speak ... wondering … whether they’ll ever be loved, will ever marry, will ever have a family, ever truly be accepted for who they are.”
“So my message to young people is this: Just be you. You are loved. You’re heard. You belong.”
PUSHING ICE AGENTS TO QUIT
A new ad was released by Women’s March Win that slams the regime’s immigration abuses, and encourages ICE agents to quit their jobs. It shows a disheveled man returning home and being greeted by his daughter, who asks: “How was your day?”
The ad then shows scenes of ICE’s rampant abuses, before the narrator states: “A mask can’t hide you from your neighbors, our children, and God. They’ll know. You can walk away, before the shame follows you home.”
GRIJALVA STANDS HER GROUND
Dem Rep. Adelita Grijalva is fearless. Something she proved by taking on Trump during the shutdown, and roasting Mike Johnson hard in her first floor speech ever.
But when coming face to face with Trump’s abusive ICE agents, Grijalva took things to a whole new level. Despite being pushed around and pepper-sprayed, she still pressed forward.
Grijalva stated: “I want to protect the people in this community. And that’s why I showed up. I think it’s important for me to have eyes on what’s happening here, and not just have it be stories through other people.”
This sort of courage is exactly what we deserve from all of our leaders and elected officials—just like we’ve shown constantly while fighting Trump for the last decade.
We built this platform to help lead the fight against maga lies and propaganda—which we dismantle daily with our news briefs, while driving millions to contact Congress and take action on social media.
But to keep building on this movement, we need all hands on deck. So if you haven’t yet, please support our independent journalism and uncompromising advocacy by becoming a paid subscriber today:
