Let me start off with the fact that we all need to vote for Biden to protect the rights of all moms from anti-mom monsters like Trump. That being said:
When I was five years old I was at a store with my mom and I saw a butterscotch disc candy with my name on it. I asked my mom if I could have it. She said no.
I apparently didn’t like that answer.
A minute or so later when she wasn’t looking, I reached up as far as I could to grab one of those tasty candies. I slid it into my pocket and about five minutes later we left the store.
We hopped in the car, and as we made our way home I started to “stealthily” unwrap the candy. The crinkles were loud and my mom could clearly hear what I was doing.
My mom asked, “Did you take that candy?” I said no.
She swiftly took a u-turn back to the store and took me inside with her. I was told to apologize to the store owner, which I did and returned the candy with tears in my eyes. The store owner smiled and said it was totally fine, those candies were free. And then he proceeded to give my mom a big bag of candy for me.
We went home and my mom gave the bag of candy to the rest of my family. I was given none of it.
It was a life lesson that sticks with me to this day. Don’t take things that aren’t yours.
I’m so thankful to have been raised by such a wonderful mom. With all the love and care in the world. And support for anything and everything I would ever do in life.
“You’d make a good writer,” my mom said when I was young. She still says that. 🙂
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and mom figures across the world. Especially to my wife, who is an amazing mother, beyond measure.
I hope everyone enjoys the day as much as possible. Be well. Do good. The fight continues.
Onward,
Scott

It was virtually the same story for me. I stole a pack of gum. My Mom marched me right back to the store after deducting the cost from my allowance. She paid the store owner who was very nice about it. But not my Mom! It was one of many valuable lessons my Mom taught me. God bless her in Heaven.
Just helping you to correct your mistake. No shaming you for behaving like any other little being. ♥️♥️♥️ and seeing what you were good at and encouraging that. Sounds like a wonderful Mom. Hats off to you both, as now you are here for all of us! 🤗 Happy nurturing of others day to all who nurture what’s best in us.
