NEW: Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have announced the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Data Center Moratorium Act, legislation that would enact a reasonable pause to the development of AI to ensure the safety of humanity.
I would like to see the Democrats go after the special tax status of Private Equity firms. Maybe an alternative minimum tax of 40% for their principals, loss of that pass-through tax exemption, and I would like to see criminal charges for stripping business of assets and dumping them into the bankruptcy system.
HELL YES. In my area the housing crisis is crushing folks with brutal rents, home prices, groceries, and gas piling on the pain.
Trump swore he’d fix affordability but then decided it was a made up word. Oregon and Delaware showed real leadership, and these four resistance wins give me real hope.
The regime is not invincible, resistance family. Keep lighting the fire! 🔥
Kevin Stitt, governor of Oklahoma is a real ultra right wing religious head case with his ubiquitous Ten Commandments. He probably has an equal number of copies of Mein Kampf laying around the house.
2 of my prescriptions have gone up a lot with my insurance. Thankfully there’s lower costs without insurance. Groceries are at an all time high and it’s just me, couldn’t imagine the people with families affording groceries and gas. Can’t wait until trump is gone.
All Dem states should follow Oregon and Delaware. The states' governments' actions are the first and best way to fight the national GQP and it's dreadful 'policies'.
Scott, there is an article in the Boston Globe today that middle aged and older adults are increasingly moving with non-relatives due to the rising housing costs. Everyone I know is suffering from higher gas, groceries and prescription costs.
Although I have no mortgage, I anticipate a significant increase in property taxes. This Trump administration is feckless!
Oregon is doing the right thing as is Delaware. If there are water issues now just wait until those data centers get rolling 8,000 people laid off is just the beginning.
Agree, Georgia! And I keep thinking how it's going to be an even bigger uphill climb for younger generations. And for what? To indulge a petty, narcissistic, vindictive loser and his hateful minions.
And I fear many voters won’t realize how much damage has been done. People can’t expect a quick fix so we need to understand that one new president can’t get it done in 1 term.
I love that Oregon is taking steps to combat the housing crisis. However, if I read it correctly, one on the laws keeps private equity from purchasing a home for 90 days. I prefer never. Single family homes should be sold to single families, period—not to entities which ultimately price individuals out of the market while creating exorbitant rents.
Agree that housing has turned into yet another tool for corporate / investor profiteering. Unfortunately the dormant commerce clause and other rulings (Citizens United) give corporations/LLCs potential power that disadvantages individuals.

I really appreciate you bringing "local news" to all of us. You're showing us what can be done with the right approach and perseverance.
GO. Oregon!!!
ITA, Janice! And do you notice a recurring theme in Scott's amazing posts? It's many women on every front who are outwitting the regime ✊
Women are powerhouses and that's why the regime wants to strip us of our rights. They know we can steamroll over them.
Spot on, Mary : )

We need to stop Trump’s illegal plans
Great things being done by community leaders and state leaders ( who are not R).
I have some hope with these actions but I pity us Americans because it’s going to be a long dry awful time before we can change our government .

We need a functioning congress, not a group of syncophants who are clearly profiting offthis regime's actions. .
Grocery costs are getting us right between the eyes
