I Wish Trump Would Just *Poof* Disappear
But he won’t. So this is what must happen
I wish we could just ignore the unhinged things Trump does and not take any of his Putin-like rants seriously.
Think of how much better the world would be right now if we didn’t have to pay attention to his constant threats and lies. If he just vanished into thin air. Wouldn’t that be amazing?
But he’s not gonna just disappear. Somehow, Donald is the Republican nominee for president. Yes, it’s ridiculous, but we don’t have the luxury of just ignoring him. Too many people did that in 2016, and that backfired big time on all of us.
So we need to be asking ourselves: what can we do to make this wish come true? To make Donald disappear from politics and our lives for eternity?
It won’t be the indictments, at least not yet. It won’t be the Supreme Court. There is no cavalry coming to save us from Donald’s dream of becoming dictator in 2025.
It has to be us. We are the only ones with the power to stop him.
It’s on us to call out every lie, and correct it with the truth–which is a big part of why I started this Substack in the first place.
We beat him during a pandemic when he had control over the government, even though he led a violent insurrection at the Capitol to try and overturn the election.
Now it’s on us to beat him again.
This time he won’t be able to cheat at the same level or attempt a coup under the cover of the presidency. This time Trump has no ground game, no one out knocking doors or making phone calls around the clock.
Trump is stuck in a courtroom while Biden continues to deliver for the American people in extraordinary ways. And this time, most of Trump’s fundraising is used to pay for his exorbitant legal fees.
The head to head shouldn’t even be close. On one hand you have an indicted traitor in Trump, an unhinged maniac falling asleep in court where he’s charged with dozens of felonies related to his efforts to interfere with the 2016 election by covering up his affair with an adult film star, while his wife was taking care of their baby. Give me a freaking break.
On the other hand we have President Joe Biden, who led us out of the pandemic into a remarkable economic recovery. Job numbers are up, unemployment numbers are at historic lows, and if we re-elect him, America can continue on our path of progress.
Trump will hire evil goblins to his staff and his administration. He will set up a cabinet of overprivileged, unqualified oligarchs. He will espouse his racism and hate at a level we’ve never seen before.
The level of danger of another Trump presidency and the amount of damage he would do in the world is unfathomable.
Trump wants to continue waging his war on women, trying to control all of them with a federal abortion ban and likely moving on to outlawing birth control next. He’s an anti-union scab who will screw over his own family if it means saving a buck.
We must vote Trump out of our lives for good. Volunteer, donate, knock doors, write postcards, make calls, anything and everything we can. If we do all of that in the next 6 months, I think my wish will come true. And Trump will disappear from politics for good.
Then we can focus on making sure the rest of his accomplices in Congress that aren’t voted out in 2024, are booted in subsequent elections.
A good start.

The outcome of the 2024 election can't be just 51%-49% against Trump. It has to be a full-scale rout on the order of 75% or higher so there can be absolutely no discussion about what the American people want and don't want. And then he and his henchmen need to be put away where they can't do any more harm, not ever again. Because if Trump is elected again he will hurt millions of people, his supporters included, and the latter need to understand that he only cares about them to the extent his interests and ego are involved and he will take away their rights and freedoms, too, if he is given the slightest chance to do so, without a single second thought.
We not only have to vote against don, but also his MAGA minions. They are everywhere! SCOTUS needs a Proctor, time limits or to be expanded. Maybe someone should look into their kickbacks and file a lawsuit.
We need to VOTE BLUE UP and DOWN the ballot!
