I have sent several letters to my Senator. I hope he will not be confirmed. Perhaps he will be asked just one question and it will go like Carl's hearing! I also read that the orange man was releasing the nation's oil reserve. I feel that is a mistake because just like with everything else (like taxpayer's money) he will drain it and we will be left with nothing! I don't think he should be allowed to do that.
I thought the US was no longer energy dependent on foreign oil. That’s what I’ve read and heard, we’re a large exporter. So why are gas prices soaring here? Are we being gouged by big oil?

It's not that we aren't pumping oil. It's that any disruption of oil production anywhere sends the price of oil skyrocketing, including US oil.
