Jasmine Crockett Brings The Fire and More Bad News For Trump
An upset election in NYC, Trump loses a Nobel Prize nomination, and more
After another day of Trump’s mayhem, I’m happy to bring you a new edition of Great News. Thanks for reading—let’s jump in.
In New York City last night, Zohran Mamdani became the apparent winner in the Democratic primary for Mayor against Andrew Cuomo and others. Despite Cuomo being backed by billionaires, Mamdani surged in the polls in recent weeks. Cuomo has conceded, but the final results are being tallied.
It’s clear that Mamdani won’t bow down to Trump regarding immigration abuses. But his main general election opponent—disgraced Mayor Eric Adams—is a corrupt Trump puppet. More to come.
It was revealed that not only did Trump lie about an Israel and Iran ceasefire, he also lied about how much damage he did when bombing Iran. An intelligence report said he only set Iran’s nuclear program back “by months”—it wasn’t obliterated, like he falsely claimed. Yeah, that’s another spectacular Trump flop.
Ukrainian lawmaker Oleksandr Merezhko has withdrawn his unhinged nomination of Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. Merezhko said he’s lost all “faith and belief” in Trump’s ability to broker a ceasefire deal between Ukraine and Russia. He should’ve never been nominated.
In Congress, Dem Rep. Al Green forced a vote on his newest articles of impeachment. It was focused on Trump’s attack on Iran without Congressional authorization—a clear abuse of power. A majority of the House voted to table it.
Meanwhile, Dem Rep. Jasmine Crockett pushed for Elon Musk to be subpoenaed to testify in front of the House DOGE Subcommittee. Republicans shot it down.
In the same hearing, Crockett brought the fire to the GOP, stating: “All this talk about lowering cost and reducing waste is absolute BS … Their agenda is pro-disinformation, pro-obstruction, pro-greed and pro-exploitation.”
Crockett is absolutely right. That’s why I’ve helped lead the opposition against Trump for more than 9 years. On top of our reporting—where we have the #1 article right now in Substack News—I run one of the biggest Contact Congress campaigns out there. We’ve made countless calls and sent more than 394,000 letters—just since November.
We’re reaching Senators and Reps. thousands of times per day, fighting against the big evil bill, along with any GOP cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and more.
All of our work is funded by our readers—because that’s what it takes for us to remain independent. And right now, we need all hands on deck. So if you haven’t already, please become a paid subscriber today:
No matter how you subscribe, thanks again for all you do.
Onward!

Do you think Elon Musk should be forced to testify in front of Congress about DOGE?
