We Are Standing With Mark Kelly Against Hegseth’s Attacks, Refusing To Let Trump Rewrite Jan 6 History, and Calling Out Dangerous Russian Propaganda
They picked a fight with the wrong folks
While Trump’s brain is failing and he’s pathologically lying to the world about pretty much everything, I’m glad to have today’s news brief for you. Because in times like these—when corporate media acts like a PR firm for the regime—we need honest, independent journalism more than ever.
We don’t just report on the chaos—we are building a machine to stop it. Our paid subscribers invest directly in the largest social media operation against Trump, power our massive Contact Congress campaign, and fuel our work to win back Congress in the midterms.
We answer to no advertisers, only to readers like you. So if you haven’t already, please help us keep up the fight by upgrading to a paid subscription today:
FOLLOW-UP: NO ATTACK ON PUTIN’S HOME
After initially clutching his golden pearls and acting outraged, Trump finally admitted that Ukraine did not try to attack Vladimir Putin’s home. It’s now clear Russia was just playing victim in a war where they are the aggressor.
Trump repeated the lie based on nothing more than Putin’s word. This isn’t just Trump being gullible—he willingly let himself be used to spread dangerous propaganda. It’s pathetic, it’s weak, and it’s wrong.
FACT CHECK: DEBUNKING TRUMP’S 9/11 LIE
Speaking of lies, Trump recently claimed he wrote a book where he warned about Osama bin Laden a year before 9/11. Even worse, Trump said if people had listened to him, the attacks wouldn’t have happened.
In reality, Trump wrote no warning, and he didn’t even write the book—a ghostwriter did. It’s another reminder he’s completely detached from reality and unfit for office.
LIGHTS OUT ON THE PROPAGANDA MACHINE
While spreading propaganda via Fox “News” yesterday, FBI Director Kash Patel’s lighting seemed to shift on him momentarily—as seen in the images above. He was visibly distracted as someone in the background could be heard complaining about the issue.
Patel was essentially acting like Trump flew down to Venezuela and arrested Nicolás Maduro himself, so I’m glad he was interrupted.
THE TRUTH ABOUT JAN 6
It’s been 5 years since the violent attack on our Capitol by maga extremists who were incited by Trump. Back then, I could see the US Capitol building if I walked about half a block away from my house.
Since then, I’ve become good friends with heroes like former Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn and others who held the line for democracy on that day.
The regime has actively been trying to rewrite history by pardoning more than 1,500 rioters, firing dozens of prosecutors and FBI agents who worked on the cases, and even refusing to put up a plaque at the Capitol to honor the many law enforcement officers who fought that day. Their assault on the truth is never-ending.
Dem Sen. Ruben Gallego, who helped evacuate the Capitol chambers during the attack, said it perfectly: “Five years later, January 6th is still a stain on our country. Instead of wiping that stain away, some of my colleagues are choosing to honor the very people who stormed our Capitol and tried to violently overthrow our democracy.”
Gallego continued: “We should be honoring the Capitol Police who put their lives on the line to protect us … The members of Congress who were ready to fight to defend our democracy. Not the people who tried to tear it all down.”
MARK KELLY FIGHTS TRUMP’S NEWEST ATTACK
Dem Sen. Mark Kelly still refuses to bow to the Trump regime, standing firm even as Pete Hegseth launched a bogus review of his service in the military.
“My rank and retirement are things that I earned,” said Kelly, citing his combat experiences and command of a space shuttle mission while his wife Gabby recovered from a gunshot wound. Kelly blasted the threat against his status as an “un-American” attempt to intimidate Veterans.
He vowed to fight “the most unqualified Secretary of Defense in our country’s history,” with “everything I’ve got.” Kelly added that “Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump don’t get to decide what Americans … get to say about their government.”
Senator Kelly is right. The Trump regime wants to intimidate and silence their critics—so we must get even louder.
Last year we proved we’re able to dominate the narrative on social media, while also driving half a million contacts to Congress. Now we’re using that momentum to take back the House and Senate, and finally force Trump out of office for good.
But we have to start scaling up now. So help us expand our fight by upgrading to a paid subscription today:

I have two questions for you today:
Why do you think Trump and Hegseth are trying so hard to attack Sen. Mark Kelly?
Do you think Trump actually believes his 9/11 lie?
