Michelle Obama Slams Trump's Demolition Of Norms As DC Protests Rise, and More Historic Democratic Wins

TRUMP LOSES AGAIN

A federal judge ruled that Trump must pay for November SNAP benefits in full by no later than today, November 7. “People have gone without for too long,” the judge said. “Not making payments to them for even another day is simply unacceptable ... this should never happen in America.”

DC PROTESTS

Anti-Trump protests have been held daily in Washington, DC this week, including a large, fired-up rally on Wednesday. It took place a day after Dems swept races across the country—and exactly one year since the 2024 Election. Folks came out to march in droves, holding signs that read “Shame” and “No Tyrants No Palaces No Trump.”

There were even dozens of people dressed up as handmaidens from the novel-turned-TV series The Handmaid’s Tale. Wearing the iconic red gowns and white bonnets, it sent a clear message that the fight against Trump’s tyranny is not slowing down.

JOHNSON SLAMMED OUTSIDE HIS OFFICE

Recreating one of the internet’s most famous memes, Dem Rep. Yassamin Ansari set up a table outside of Mike Johnson’s office, with a sign that read: “Mike Johnson is starving families and gutting healthcare to cover up the Epstein Files. CHANGE MY MIND.”

In a written statement, Rep. Ansari said: “Republicans are holding our government hostage to ... hide the Epstein files.”

ALL THE WINNING

There were other major wins for the resistance on Tuesday that proves we are gaining ground, and momentum is truly on our side. In Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Joe Khan was elected to serve as the first Democratic district attorney in 60 years.

In dark-red Mississippi, Democrats picked up a seat in the state House, and broke the Republican supermajority in the state Senate. Connecticut Democrats flipped GOP mayoral seats in Milford, New Britain, and Stratford. And in New Jersey, Democrats won a supermajority in the Assembly.

MICHELLE OBAMA SPEAKS OUT

Former First Lady Michelle Obama made an appearance on Stephen Colbert’s show this week, blasting Trump’s demolition of the East Wing of the White House.

“I never viewed it … as our house,” Obama said. “We were there for a time. We had a job to do. We always felt it was the people’s house ... because it was bigger than us … it is not mine, it is ours.”

And that’s something Trump will never understand. How nothing in the White House is his, and that he’s supposed to work for us. We’re not supposed to bow to him—something we’ve never done and never will.
