As we begin another week of Musk and Trump’s chaos, I’m glad to have more good news for you today. I hope it shows you there are brave folks fighting this tyranny alongside us, and that it gives you some relief in the midst of all the madness.
Tomorrow, Dems have the opportunity to pick up 2 US House seats, with Gay Valimont and Josh Weil running in Florida’s special election. Wins here would be game-changing. Trump is so scared of losing these races—and shrinking the Republican majority in the House—he pulled GOP Rep. Elise Stefanik’s nomination to be UN Ambassador.
In Wisconsin, folks can send a clear rebuke to the Trump regime by electing Susan Crawford over Musk’s candidate Brad Schimel. They also have a chance to reject a terrible voter ID referendum. These would be massive wins for the resistance.
Today, the Trans Day of Visibility Rally will be held in DC from 4-6pm ET. More than a dozen Members of Congress are planning to attend. The invite reads: “After relentless attacks from the Trump Administration on the transgender community, trans Americans and allies from across the country will convene in Washington, DC to show we’re not going anywhere.”
This Saturday’s “Hands Off!” day of action—a massive nationwide effort to push back against Musk and Trump’s dismantling of the federal government—is shaping up to be one the largest protests of the year. More than 600 events planned across America, sponsored by a coalition of 83 organizations.
Yesterday, thousands of people showed up in Dallas for a massive march, demanding immigration reform, and calling out Trump’s unconstitutional policies. The crowd made its way to Dallas City Hall carrying signs, like one that read, “No one is illegal,” while chanting “Sí, se puede!” (Yes, we can!)
Organizers of the event said: “We march because hate and fear-mongering have no place in the White House, the State House, and our American homes.” It’s time for the US to “create a legal and humane process for hard working, law-abiding immigrants to achieve the American Dream.”
In Michigan, Dem Sen. Chris Murphy, Dem Rep. Maxwell Frost, and MI AG Dana Nessel hosted a town hall. During the event, Murphy and Frost recorded a video for GOP Rep. John James, where Murphy said, “we got a bunch of your constituents who have a question for you.” Murphy then turned the camera around to reveal hundreds of attendees shouting, “Where are you?!” It was a powerful moment.
Voters in Louisiana delivered a major blow to GOP Gov. Jeff Landry on Saturday, by rejecting all four of the amendments he had pushed for. It was a complete wipeout, as folks resoundingly said no to cutting education funding, giving more tax breaks to the rich, and other terrible proposals. None of the amendments garnered over 37% of the vote.
As the Signalgate scandal deepens, The Atlantic’s Editor Jeffrey Goldberg went on Meet the Press, and slammed Trump’s National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, for pretending not to know how Goldberg’s number was on his phone.
“This isn't The Matrix,” he said. “Phone numbers don't just get sucked into other phones … my phone number was in his phone, because my phone number was in his phone.” Goldberg debunked the Trump regime’s lie that no info in the chat was classified, saying: “if that’s not the most sensitive information, the most secret information in the world, I simply don't know what the meaning of ‘classified’ is.”
I’m proud to report that over the last week our Watchdog Coalition has sent 22,000 letters to Congress, demanding they call for Pete Hegseth’s resignation. We’re also taking on DOGE, fighting for Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and so much more. Overall, since November, we’ve made tens of thousands of calls, and sent more than a whopping 250,000 letters to the House and Senate.
With us—on top of getting the good news daily—you’ll always get real actions, and measurable results. We are building true momentum, but we need all hands on deck.
