Terrible News For Trump, Sunday Edition
Newsom Trolls, Texas Sued, Bernie Mobilizes, and More
Before Trump unleashes another week of madness, I’m happy to have more great news for you today. I hope it brings you some relief, even if just for a moment.
I’ve been taking on Trump for nearly 10 years without flinching, and I’m not stopping. Not now, not ever. We have no billionaire bosses, and we remain ad-free—because our platform is 100% powered by our readers.

BERNIE ON THE ROAD AGAIN
As part of a four-state leg of his “Fighting Oligarchy” tour, Sen. Bernie Sanders held two more rallies yesterday—one in Viroqua, Wisconsin, and the other in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The energy at both events was electric. He has another stop scheduled in Chicago tonight.
Bernie isn’t just bringing folks together, his campaign is activating them as volunteers, and building something for the long road ahead. This is the kind of grassroots organizing we need everywhere.
Sanders said: “These are tough times for the country. At the very least, we need to elect strong members of Congress who have the guts to stand up for working people, stand up for decency, and are prepared to take on the oligarchy.”
DEM SOLIDARITY
Dem Rep. Lloyd Doggett announced he will not run for reelection if the Texas maps hold up in court. This avoids a big primary with Dem Rep. Greg Casar, who is Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
Doggett stated: “I prefer to devote the coming months to fighting Trump tyranny and serving Austin rather than waging a struggle with fellow Democrats.” Good call.
TEXAS TAKEN TO COURT
Super lawyer Marc Elias announced he is leading a lawsuit against Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s new gerrymandered congressional map—filed only hours after it passed in the state legislature.
Elias says it violates the Voting Rights Act and the 14th Amendment, “because it unjustifiably considers race and partisanship as part of a voluntary, mid-cycle redistricting.” More to come on this.
CANCEL THE SPEECH
GOP Rep. Nancy Mace decided to cancel her speech after she suffered an abysmal turnout. Her campaign for SC Gov. was expecting more than 100 people—but only 8 showed up. No one should be listening to what Mace has to say, so I love this for her.
NEWSOM BRINGS THE HEAT
Trump finally responded to Newsom’s elite-level trolling operation on Friday, calling the CA Gov. a bunch of childish names. Newsom responded swiftly with: “Such low energy. SAD!” Yes it is.
One of my favorite quotes from Newsom this week is: “We got here because [Trump] is struggling. We got here because [Trump] is one of the most unpopular presidents in US history. We got here because he recognizes that he will lose the election.” Ain’t that the truth.
This is the kind of fire that every elected official and member of the resistance needs to bring to the Trump regime. That’s exactly what I’ve done for more than a decade of fighting Trump and his cult.
Not only do we deliver top-ranked daily news briefs, I also run one of the largest social media operations in the world against Trump. And our Contact Congress campaign is enormous—having already reached lawmakers half a million times since November.
