What's next
It’s been less than a week since the No Kings protests, and to me there is still that sense of drive and momentum stemming from it. On Saturday night, I worked past 4am ET to ensure that images from all 50 states were in one post. It was well worth it!
In July, there are two rounds of protests currently being planned. One on July 4th, led by the Women’s March. And another on July 17th—a day to commemorate the late great John Lewis. There will also be rallies, protests, empty-chair town halls, and other demonstrations across the country before then.
The Trump regime is still desperately clinging to the false narrative that they have some kind of mandate in America, when they absolutely do not.
We all need to keep on pushing as hard as we can. We’re gaining ground. Public pressure is working more than when we started. Folks like us can now clearly see they aren’t alone in this fight—and that together, we can beat this bill.
As I’ve said since November, we will make it through this, as long as we stay united.
In the coming weeks, we must do everything we can to fight against Trump’s evil budget bill.
That’s where we come in. Our enormous Contact Congress continues to reach Senators and Reps. thousands of times per day, via phone calls and letters.
Our social media initiatives dominate the trends. Like our hashtag defending Medicaid today, which had hundreds of millions of impressions. It even trended top 5 on Twitter/X—which is where Republicans spend most of their time online.
And our news brief cuts through Trump’s lies to deliver the truth, every single day.
