Who else is IN LOVE with Governor Lujan Grisham?

Martha P's avatar

She’s a rock star!

NM also set up a plan last year for Universal childcare (nmececd.org/universal)

Something you said, Scott, really hit home to me: how the tRump administration has learned to manipulate laws, policies to their advantage. I can picture all his cronies delving into laws/policies and finding ways to hopefully change to their liking- Project 2025 is definitely a "masterpiece" for the Republican party.

Super cool about New Mexico planning for health care subsidies. Other states need to learn from this!

Julie's avatar

You’re right, Susan, about the legal manipulation. It is evil and scary.

For Vietnam, we went to war

Our casualities produced horrifying awe.

For Afghanistan we went to war,

Our casualies have become part of our country’s lore.

For Israel we have gone to war,

Remind me again, What for?

Trump stole classified documents, used them to enrich himself (i.e 2.5B investement, LIV golf, etc), and this is the end result. I scratch your back, so you scratch mine, which means in this case, attack Iran because we own you. Israel also has a heavy hand in this because they have all the dirt on trump's pedophile and sex trafficking lifestyle. We all have to live through this, and hopefully come out on the other side ready to rebuild all that has been broken.

Jennifer's avatar

This is probably a dumb question, but how does Israel have dirt on trump?

Not trying to challenge, I'm honestly seeking information.

Stephen Brady's avatar

Apparently Epstein and various Israeli actors were close.

I believe several countries / entities / corporations have dirt on Chump. He does what they want in exchange for them keeping the info secret.

Netanyahu needs trumpy to escalate this illegal war. They are both war criminals. This country needs to align itself to The Hague. We’re a global world and need allies more than ever

While I appreciate that New Mexico planned ahead to protect its citizens against the high healthcare premiums so many are facing now, I see that more as a win for the current regime. That's money coming out of NM citizens' pockets, not D.C. The subsidies need to be restored at a national level.

LeslieN's avatar

You know what's a win for this current regime? People NOT planning ahead for the dire consequences of a Traitor-as-repeat Prez. This plan is now in place to protect residents of NM and that's a win.

Julie's avatar

Ideally, yes. But people shouldn’t have to go without health insurance while we fight this regime.

Tracy Kohlbeck's avatar

And I absolutely agree with both of you. I'm GLAD NM planned ahead, as did my own state, Washington. BUT, my point is that it shouldn't have been necessary.

Julie's avatar

Agree, Tracy!

They need to pour their federal dollars into their state govt

This is the most hateful, corrupt administration ever.

Well, it is not difficult to outsmart the idiots now running things. New Mexico has the right idea. Other states need to follow.

It looks like besides the people, the only thing holding this regime to account are the judges. If you can, make sure to make it to a No Kings rally Saturday. Make sure you dress for the weather, have valid id, bring snacks and drink and even if your state has a lax gun law; it is not a good idea to bring a weapon.

Hey Scott! Thanks for the good news this week. The cracks are really showing up. I appreciate you keeping our spirits up.

Patrick P's avatar

Yes, democracy is not dead yet. We are on our last line of defense. It is up to Governors of Blue and Red States to push back at the regime's efforts. The Judges around the country are being inundated with the administration's corruption and the DOJs misinterpretation of the law. These last honest men and women are our last line of defense. Hopefully they hold under the enormous pressure.

Absolutely essential that states act on their power AND authority against the mad king

New Mexico rocks! I am so glad the green card issue was challenged. We need to have a clear path to asylum, work visas, student visas and citizenship that doesn't lag behind forever.

Kathy Sutter's avatar

Very Smart of the People of New Mexico, Great Leaders. That's What Working For The People Looks Like!!

Linda Marple's avatar

New Mexico pays for child care ! This is also amazing!

Michelle K Irwin's avatar

Of course this regime would interpret the law and push it to the disadvantage of refugees applying for a green card, I have no doubt!!! Similarly ICE had been arresting people who are legally showing up for an annual check-in before a judge for their citizenship process, creating a double edged sword. Arrested if you show up, arrested for not showing up, causing fear and confusion for people trying to concientiously work through the green card process.

W#2: This was obviously an attempt at discrimination. Easily overturned in court. The removal from government of the people who did this should have been automatic!

Other governors should get behind New Mexico's Healthcare win! I love it when a state stands up for their people! In this day and time when red states and a POS POTUS only stands for their own greed...and actually hate Americans!!!!! I applaud New Mexico!
