They are not going to cover the President because they don’t want him to succeed. He does in spite of not because of the media. They give trump all the press coverage like they did in2016. That’s why he doesn’t have to campaign. They do for him. President Biden is a great man and leader. He understands we the people, not we the rich and powerful. He sees us. Too bad that the very people that need him don’t see that, shameful.

Well said Cynthia

There are rich and powerful on both sides of the aisle, some of whom must understand our position in the world is due to an underlying sense of equality which has made this nation stand tall throughout our relatively short history.

Unless they are totally myopic and without any sense of historical perspective even the wealthiest and most reactionary among us must recognize that unbridled greed and the control it demands is a monster which has consumed every nation where it held sway.

I have faith my fellow citizens understand the chicanery embodied in the present day Republican Party and will vote them and their titular leader into the dustbin of political history.

The rich and powerful do not care how their greed affects the rest of us. If they did, we would still have a functioning Supreme Court, and fuckface wouldn't even be on the ticket.

His speeches really have been amazing lately. Why isn’t anyone talking about this?

Great question Sam—one we have to keep asking!

I am a proud Spelman graduate and totally agree with your assessment of the Biden commencement speech. I was in Atlanta for my class reunion and watched it on live stream with other graduates before attending our commencement. Everyone in our hotel watching were excited hearing the speech and witnessed our Morehouse brothers and their families respecting the President and hearing his words with the compassion they deserved. MSM is deliberately missing things just for clicks and that is a travesty. Thanks for reporting truth.

Thank you Lisa for your comment! I appreciate you sharing your story about it.

Biden delivers powerful speeches on important topics, but has one stumble where he instantly corrects himself. The “news” media focuses on the stumble, without including his instant recovery.

Trump rambles incoherently, whining about being held accountable. Pukes out this nonsense:

“We are a nation that just recently heard that Saudi Arabia and Russia will re…derp a derp…awww…” (March 2, 2024, Greensboro, NC)

Has anyone seen Trump’s brain glitches covered in the mainstream media? Nah - didn’t think so.

Fake news happens on both sides. Hiding the good that Biden brings keeps you-know-who on the front page, when in fact he should be hidden in the back. Like the degenerate fascist he is.

Thank you. My blood was boiling at the way Biden’s speech was covered.

Things you will never hear on MSM. Your five points were an excellent summation of Joe Biden’s speech at Morehouse Commencement.

Thank you Monica!

Powerful and tragically underreported! President Biden is speaking plain truth while Republicans are supporting an indicted insurrectionist incompetent who thinks he is running against Obama.

I listened to the last 5-10 minutes of it and was literally crying. It was that good.

👍👍It really was inspirational

Is mainstream media on a daily ration of MAGA Kool-Aid? We get to hear snippets of good speeches from our President and whole renditions of gibberish from TFG. And he also had 24/7 campaign video from Fox, Newsmax, OAN, and the Christian Right News Networks. Hours and hours of sludge happily consumed by millions of people, daily! News Orgs are doing more than fumbling; they’re aiding and abetting a so-far bloodless coup of our democracy and country. Wake up America. It’s later than you think and much more dangerous than you can imagine! (And I say “so-far bloodless - just wait until there’s any resistance from those with any awareness- it could get very ugly.)

Biden’s speech was powerful and represents Democratic beliefs and positions. Let’s get it out to everyone we can and let folks get behind the President!

The media is not interested in content. It’s interested in clicks.

My blood doesn’t boil since I canceled the NYT and other corporate news media and I’m so glad I did. Thanks to Substacks I get news I never saw in the corporate media. I read every word of Biden’s speech on Substack and it was so impressive.

"Biden has clearly heard the issues that are profoundly resonating with college students across the country, and he spoke specifically to those concerns. He communicated in depth, and treated the topics with the care and gravity that they deserve."

Such an easy, accurate summation to articulate in any of hundreds of news stories, yet I had to wait three days to see it in your offering.

Thanks, and well done, Scott.

Reading what you and others write here has made me more discerning when watching the media. It helps me see the BS that they are putting out. Thanks for your insights.

Thanks Christine for the thoughtful comment

It makes no sense that the media tries to normalize tfg, but finds fault with the President, no matter what he does. Don’t they realize that ‘Freedom of the Press’ is the first thing to go under a dictatorship?
