Trump Suffers Major Loss To Newsom and Elon Musk’s Office Gets Raided In France, While Dems Hold Shadow Hearings To Expose ICE Abuses and Rally To Impeach Noem
Plus, Trump's rebrand of Kennedy Center goes so poorly he has to shut it down and blame ‘renovations’
As the fight against Trump’s corrupt regime intensifies on every front, I’m glad to have today’s news brief for you.

SHADOW HEARING ON ICE ABUSES
This week, Congressional Democrats held a shadow hearing about the rampant abuses being committed by Trump’s federal agents. Not a single Republican Member of Congress showed up.
Senator Richard Blumenthal opened the forum by saying: “With us in spirit are also Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti ... They should be here in person, but they were murdered. They were murdered by their own government. They were killed in cold blood.”
Rep. Robert Garcia said their killings were a direct result of Trump’s “extreme policies, violent tactics, and culture of impunity.”
The hearing featured testimony from Renee Good’s brothers, Luke (left) and Brent Ganger (right.)
Luke stated: “The deep distress our family feels because of [Renee’s] loss in such a violent and unnecessary way is complicated by feelings of disbelief, distress, and desperation for change.”
Brent recounted parts of the eulogy he wrote for his sister, saying Renee reminded him of dandelions because they “push through cracks in the sidewalk, through hard soil, through places where you don’t expect beauty and suddenly there they are. Unapologetically hopeful—that was Renee.”
FIRE NOEM PROTEST
Hundreds of protesters joined dozens of House Democrats to rally outside ICE headquarters in Washington, DC this week. They were demanding accountability for the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, and calling for the resignation, firing, or impeachment of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.
Rep. Robin Kelly, whose impeachment resolution against Noem now has 187 cosponsors, stated: “Kristi Noem brought a reign of terror to cities across the country.”
Rep. Greg Casar told the crowd: “We are united as Democrats and united as a country, marching in the cold in Minneapolis—facing tear gas from coast to coast—marching to demand that we impeach Kristi Noem.”
FRANCE SHOWS US HOW IT’S DONE
French authorities raided Elon Musk’s X/Twitter offices in Paris this week as part of a criminal investigation into the platform’s role in the spread of child abuse material, Holocaust denial, and deepfake videos. The probe, led by the Paris prosecutor’s cybercrime unit, has been ongoing for over a year and is examining whether any executives have been complicit in the spread of illegal content.
In similar moves, the European Union has already fined the platform 120 million euros for “deceptive” practices, and the United Kingdom has opened investigations into potential violations of privacy laws.
Musk called the raid a “political attack,” and his company dismissed it as “law enforcement theater,” but European regulators aren’t interested in their commentary—they’re busy showing the world how to hold Trump’s oligarchs accountable.
TRUMP’S KENNEDY FAILURE
Trump announced this week that he will shut down the Kennedy Center for two years starting on July 4th, claiming it’s for renovations. But in reality, the closure comes after high-profile performers fled following his takeover of the institution.
Hamilton, one of the biggest productions ever, canceled its run. The Washington National Opera vacated the Center after more than 50 years. Instead of admitting his failures led to all of this, Trump is simply closing the doors.
JFK’s niece Maria Shriver translated Trump’s spin for everyone: “It’s best for me to close this center down and rebuild a new center that will bear my name, which will surely get everybody to stop talking about the fact that everybody’s canceling … right?”
CALIFORNIA DEFEATS TRUMP
Yesterday, the Supreme Court gave California Governor Gavin Newsom and Democrats a massive victory, rejecting the Trump regime’s desperate attempt to block the state’s new voter-approved congressional map. The map could flip as many as five House seats in favor of Democrats in the midterms.
“Donald Trump said he was ‘entitled’ to five more Congressional seats in Texas,” Newsom said after the win. “He started this redistricting war. He lost, and he’ll lose again in November.”
This is what happens when we go on offense. This is resistance in action.
That’s why we launched our Midterm Accountability Project—to keep up our momentum, drive a million more contacts to Congress, dominate trends on social media, and cover the stories corporate media buries with their propaganda.
