Obama Calls Out Trump’s Power Grab as 1,000+ Protests Planned and a GOP Rep. Gets Booed Into Silence

BIG PROTESTS

More than 1,000 Labor Day protests are planned this weekend in all 50 states and DC. Led by major labor unions, the events are expected to draw the biggest turnout we’ve seen in months. I'll be sure to keep you updated.

IT NEVER GETS OLD

In Trenton, OH, GOP Rep. Warren Davidson hosted a town hall where he was booed and heckled throughout most of the event. As the crowd shouted over him, Davidson actually shushed his own constituents, and compared them to a room full of middle-schoolers.

At one point, a frustrated Davidson stepped back from the lectern and stopped talking for a bit. It never got better for him. Davidson is nothing but another Trump cult member who should leave elected office forever.

PROTECTING KAMALA

After Trump’s reckless decision to remove former VP Harris’s Secret Service detail, sources in California say the state’s Highway Patrol will work as her protective detail—for now. It’s great to see immediate pushback against Trump’s dangerous retribution tour.

ERNST OUT

GOP Sen. Joni Ernst is not running for reelection in Iowa. Remember when Ernst said “we all are going to die,” when justifying cuts to Medicaid? Well, it looks like her political career may have died with that grotesque comment. Good riddance.

KILMAR SEEKS GAG ORDER

We’ve all seen the Trump regime’s ridiculous attacks on Kilmar Ábrego García, which have gone far beyond the pale. But now García’s legal team is fighting back, seeking a gag order on both Pam Bondi and Kristi Noem. More to come on this.

NEIL YOUNG’S NEW ANTI-TRUMP SONG

Legendary rocker Neil Young has a new hard-hitting song about the Trump regime, titled “Big Crime.” In it, Young sings: “There’s big crime in DC at the White House.”

The lyrics also read: “Don’t need no fascist rules … no fascist schools, don’t want soldiers walking on the streets … Got to get the fascists out, got to clean the White House out.” We’re with you all the way, Neil. Keep on rockin’ in the free world!

OBAMA GETS LOUDER

Former President Barack Obama is getting louder by the day. On the Republican effort to steal House seats, Obama said they’re “trying to ... keep their grip on Congress in the midterms and beyond. Voters should pick their politicians, not the other way around.”

Obama also said Trump’s abuses of power with the National Guard and ICE are eroding “basic principles like due process.” And the “expanding use of our military on domestic soil puts the liberties of all Americans at risk.” It sure does.
