One By One, They’re Going Down: Trump’s Former Adviser Pleads Guilty, His Voter Grab Loses Again, and A Senator Warns the Corrupt: Your Day Is Coming
Plus, a million families win big
Good to have you here. I’ve got some things that’ll lift your week.
While the powerful in Washington bully and brag and lie, other people—with far less power and far more nerve—simply refuse to go along. Finding their stories, the ones Trump hopes you’ll never hear, is what this newsletter is for.
So before you read on, tap the little ❤️ heart button, then restack. That’s how this edition reaches people the algorithms would rather it didn’t. A few taps from you, and a stranger hears the truth.
Becoming a paid subscriber isn’t writing a check to a newsletter—it’s joining a table full of people who haven’t given up. No ads, no billionaires, no corporate owners—just readers like you.
We’re still a handful short of our end-of-month goal for new paid subscribers—I hope you’ll become one of them:
FORMER TRUMP ADVISER IS NOW A CONVICTED FELON
John Bolton—the man Trump once picked to be his national security adviser—pleaded guilty Friday in a Maryland courtroom to a federal crime.
He admitted to illegally keeping more than a thousand pages of the nation’s secrets and handing some to relatives who had no business seeing them. His punishment: a $2.25 million fine, and his government pension stripped away. And he could still go to prison.
Nobody’s shedding a tear. Bolton spent years as one of Washington’s loudest voices for war, beating the drum for one conflict after another. Watching him stand before a judge and answer for his own crimes is its own kind of justice.
Here’s what it tells you. The people who were certain the rules would never apply to them are finding out otherwise. One down. The rest should be watching. We certainly are.
NEW YORK JUST DID WHAT WASHINGTON WON’T
While the regime hands landlords and billionaires everything they ask for, New York City’s new mayor just did the opposite—and he did it in his first six months.
On Thursday night, the city’s Rent Guidelines Board voted 7 to 1 to freeze rent on nearly one million apartments. It’s the first two-year freeze in the board’s history. Mayor Zohran Mamdani picked six of the nine members. They delivered.
Under former Mayor Eric Adams, landlords got 12% in rent hikes while their profits jumped 30%. Working people paid more so the rich could pocket more. That stops now.
A million households in New York City just got told their rent won’t go up for two years—because they elected someone who promised it and kept their word.
When the right people get into office, they make our lives easier instead of harder. It just happened in New York. It can happen where you live too.
COURT SLAMS DOOR ON TRUMP’S PA VOTER GRAB
The regime spent all year trying to get their hands on the private voter records—names, addresses, even Social Security numbers—of millions of Americans. On Saturday, Pennsylvania became the latest state to slam the door in their face.
US District Judge Cathy Bissoon threw out the DOJ’s lawsuit demanding Pennsylvania hand over its voter files. And she’s not alone—court after court has tossed these same demands, in ten states now. Even some of Trump’s own appointed judges have ruled against him.
Here’s what’s quietly remarkable. The official who refused to hand over your data is Al Schmidt—Pennsylvania’s top elections officer and a Republican. This is the same man Trump attacked by name for refusing to overturn the 2020 election—and still wouldn’t back down. He protected voters of both parties, and he didn’t blink.
OSSOFF SAID WHAT OTHERS WON’T
At a packed rally in Savannah on Saturday, Jon Ossoff did what too many politicians won’t. He named names and dared them to answer.
He went after his opponent, Mike Collins—Trump’s hand-picked Senate candidate. Ossoff called him “a bigot and an antisemite under federal investigation for the illegal misuse of taxpayer dollars.”
Then he went further. “While hundreds of thousands of Georgians lose their healthcare, Mike Collins builds Trump a ballroom,” Ossoff said. “They worked harder burying the Epstein files than they ever worked to lower your grocery bill.”
Then he lifted the room. “A wave is building,” he said, “the kind that comes once a generation, when people have been pushed too far and they decide all at once and all together that enough is enough.”
It’s already happening. Republicans have been telling Ossoff that they’re voting Democrat for the first time in their lives.
Georgia turned out and changed the country once before, he reminded them. “We’ll do it again.” He’s right. And it won’t only be Georgia.
Every person you read about today had a choice. The judge could’ve looked away. The mayor could’ve broken his promise. The senator could’ve played it safe and said nothing. They didn’t. They used what power they had—and the powerful felt it.
You have that same choice, and more power than they ever want you to know.
For ten years, we’ve put it to work two ways: digging up the stories corporate media buries, and turning our readers into a force—resulting in millions of calls and letters to Congress.
We do it with no ads and no billionaires. Just readers who pay because they believe in the work and want it to keep going. So if you’re able, become a paid subscriber today. We’re nearly there on our end-of-month goal. You could be the one to push us over:
And before you go, hit the ❤️ like button and restack this edition. A few taps put these wins in front of someone who’s been told nothing ever changes—and shows them it does.
Onward!
Scott
Bolton’s a convicted felon now. Who should be next?
Do you agree with Senator Ossoff that a wave is building?
