Good morning and happy Monday. I’m glad you’re here, because I’ve got some great news for you today.
Before we jump in, hit the ❤️ like button and then restack this edition. Restacking is like passing your copy of the newspaper to everyone who follows you—but all at once. Trump would love it if all these stories stayed buried. Let’s disappoint him.
And if you’re not a paid subscriber, help us stay completely independent from advertisers and billionaires by joining us today. You’ll be supporting our investigations into GOP Senate races, our pressure campaigns on Congress, and our social media fight against MAGA propaganda. Join today and you’ll also unlock my midterm update three mornings a week:

Georgia Voters Beat Trump’s Party In Court
Trump has been screaming about fraud in Georgia since 2020. But when it came to Republicans having to show a judge actual proof of it last week, they presented nothing.
This most recent fight started over six early voting sites just outside of Atlanta in Gwinnett County. They don’t have drop boxes, so you hand your completed mail ballot directly to a sworn election worker instead.
The Republican National Committee and GOP nominee for secretary of state Tim Fleming spent almost four months in court trying to stop that.
But on October 7, Judge Warren Davis threw the case out. Since 2022, Gwinnett County had taken ballots this way, and Republicans didn’t show the judge “any ineligible voter, improperly handled ballot, or other concrete harm.”
The GOP’s filing even added the word “electors” when quoting Georgia law. Only problem was, that word’s not in there. Their own lawyer had to admit the mistake at the hearing. If you’re going to sue to block people’s ballots, maybe read the law first instead of filing sloppy nonsense.
They appealed the next day, but no court has stepped in yet. Unless that changes, all six sites will take ballots when early voting opens tomorrow.
Trump and his party keep losing these cases for one reason—they have no proof.

A Judge Shuts Down Trump’s Nationwide Voter Purge
Anthony Nel has voted in Texas for almost ten years. He’s 29, lives in Denton County, and has been a US citizen since he was a kid. A year ago, the county mailed him a letter saying it had “received information” that he “might not be a United States citizen.” He had 30 days to prove otherwise. “I’ve been voting for almost 10 years,” he told NPR. “Why is this happening now?” His passport had lapsed, and by the time he got it renewed, Texas had already cancelled his registration.
His name ran through the same broken database the regime built its nationwide purge on. Social Security’s records still had him down as a noncitizen, because he got his number before he became one. The regime’s Justice Department demanded the voter rolls of 49 states and DC, shared the files with ICE, and got Texas to promise to drop anyone it flagged within 45 days. Back in 2006, an audit found those records listed roughly 3.3 million citizens as noncitizens. They knew the list was inaccurate.
On Friday, Judge Sparkle Sooknanan shut it down in a 78-page ruling. DOJ went ahead, “despite knowingly relying on an inaccurate database to check voter eligibility,” she wrote. “DOJ cannot run roughshod over longstanding laws that were carefully crafted to protect the rights of the American people.”
DOJ’s lawyers had actually argued that everybody on a voter list is a subject of its voter fraud investigation. Everybody. She called that “nonsensical.” I’d have picked a different word.
Nel got his registration back after renewing his passport. Then he and three other voters sued, and on Friday they won. If you vote in the US, look yourself up this week. The regime has already been in the files.

Ossoff Puts Trump’s Puppet On Trial
Trump endorsed Mike Collins to take Jon Ossoff’s Senate seat. Thursday night the two of them debated live across Georgia, and Ossoff didn’t waste his opening. He told the state that “a united Georgia will hear the trial of Mike Collins,” a man who has “sold out Georgia in his pathetic, childlike devotion to Donald Trump.”
The moderator asked Collins about his son-in-law, calling him “a white supremacist social media influencer.” Collins said he’s condemned hate. Ossoff didn’t let him off the hook: “Imagine running for the US Senate while neo-Nazi propaganda is disseminated to an audience of millions from your home. That’s Mike Collins.”
Then the hospital. Collins voted for Trump’s Medicaid cuts, and Ossoff brought it home: “A hospital in Mike Collins’s own district had to shut down its labor and delivery unit, citing those Medicaid cuts.” Ossoff pointed out that mothers in labor there now drive an hour. Collins blamed Obamacare.
Later Ossoff dared him to name one single vote he’s cast against Trump. When it was Collins’s turn to talk, he never named one. Never crossing Trump is the whole job, and it’s exactly why Trump picked him.
Ossoff leads in the polls, and round two of the debates is tomorrow night—the same day early voting starts.

Talarico Leads As Trump’s Texas GOP Falls Apart
No Democrat has won statewide in Texas since 1994. Right now James Talarico—the Democrat running for US Senate—leads Trump’s pick Ken Paxton in the polling averages. And Paxton keeps telling us why. Out loud. On tape.
Clips keep dribbling out from when somebody recorded him at a private lunch with Washington lobbyists on September 24. In one, he says the Republican convention Trump staged in Dallas last month “dropped our numbers.” In another he lists what’s killing him: “It’s the war, it’s gas prices, it’s diesel.” Then this one: “I’ve never been in a race where I felt less control over the campaign … it’s all coming—you know—from DC.”
He never says Trump’s name. He doesn’t have to. Trump’s convention, Trump’s war with Iran, orders from Washington. Paxton is getting dragged under by his endorsement, and he knows it.
In one part of the recording, somebody brought up the deficit. Paxton said cuts are coming to mandatory spending, which is mostly Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, and told the room, “We have to suck it up.” A lobbyist piped up that she’d like a tax cut of her own. Everybody laughed. “I’m with you on that,” Paxton said.
He’s now promising to protect Social Security, but won’t say what he’d cut instead. Republicans have sunk close to $200 million into saving him. One poll Thursday had it tied, so we’re not taking anything for granted. Early voting in Texas starts October 19. Keep talking, Ken.
There are only 22 days left until Election Day, momentum is on our side, and I want us sprinting all the way through the finish.
Republicans never thought Texas would be in play, and Ossoff’s seat was the one they planned to take. As of this morning, we’re ahead in the polling averages in both. And it’s thanks to people like you who keep showing up when corporate media said don’t bother. If you’re reading this, wherever you are, you’re one of them. Trump can’t do a thing to stop you.
Even if we flip both chambers, this is not the end for us. It’s a new beginning, and we’ll be there with you every step of the way.
If you haven’t yet, join us as a paid subscriber and you can join me on election night as I call the returns. I want you in the room when we have more great news to share:
Then tap the ❤️ like button and restack this edition. Somebody you know is sure Trump can’t be beaten. Send them the proof they’re wrong.
Onward!

If you could say one thing to a politician’s face on live TV, who would it be and what would you say?
Which GOP senator would you most like to see lose on November 3, and why?
A judge just shut down the Trump regime’s voter purge. Have you checked your own registration lately?
