Those in health care really morally can't join. That was always a problem for me. Now retired I am out there for any and all marches in my area. Any marches pre arranged were my go to including the march on Washington which is one of my greatest memories of all time. Since many Washington marches & stonewall 25 & on and on Hell I even have Mondale Ferraro button.
Absolutely. A general strike would be powerful. No work, no transportation , and on that day..buy nothing, anywhere. Of course critical services like hospitals would be exempt. Demonstrations across America. Of course it would hurt, but if the price of freedom is a day of inconvenience, so be it.
The escalating Fascism only strengthens our resolve. Yes, we will sacrifice our comfort for a general strike, because without one, we risk sacrificing everything.

My thoughts about Jake Lang’s arrest boil down to this one reaction: GOOD. Lang is not the only “fine” person from the insurrection on J6 to be re-arrested for an evil crime. He needs to be held accountable for a loooong time before he can be considered “rehabbed.”
I imagine it will be difficult for people to simply stay home from their jobs, for fear of losing these jobs. It's one way the machine maintains control over our lives, keeping most of us living in a paycheck to paycheck existence. Should there be a total shutdown? Yes, of course. Still, we must remember it's not feasible for millions of workers to be involved.
Get the support from the business world for a general strike. Contact state politicians for help with this. Establish a support structure for those "millions of workers". Do not simply cave because it doesn't seem "feasible". Make it feasible! Hardship or fascism?

Unfortunately, a general strike requires most people to participate to be successful but trumpy economy has made it difficult for the middle class.

What about health care workers and police designated as essential workers?
I think it's hard to strike for anyone that are vital to Humans life & or limbs no doubt.
I believe if we all try hard to get this word out there. there will be way more people very eager to take part.
