Senate Dems Form Blockade Against Trump Nominees

The Trump regime is a horrifying dumpster fire circus, making it hard to cut through their noise and see some of the bright spots—but they absolutely exist, and that’s what you’ll read about below. Each and every day, more great people are fighting this tyranny alongside us, and now we’re building some real momentum.

In Nebraska, a Republican effort to change the state’s Electoral Votes to a “winner-take-all” system, failed miserably in the legislature. That means the one Electoral Vote Dems have won, in 3 of the last 5 presidential elections, is still in play. Good.

Meanwhile, in Arizona, Democrats in the state legislature walked out while Trump’s so-called “border czar” Tom Homan was ranting in front of a joint session. I wouldn’t sit there and listen to Homan pathologically lie about immigrants either. I’m glad they took a stand.

A federal judge ordered the Trump regime to immediately restore The Associated Press’s access to White House events. Get ready for another Trump tantrum.

Democrats in the Senate are stepping up their pressure, and fighting back against Trump in a number of ways.

Sen. Ron Wyden introduced a bill yesterday that would repeal all of Trump’s tariffs. Wyden is forcing a fast-tracked Senate vote on it, with support from GOP Sen. Rand Paul, and all Senate Dems.

One Senator alone has the power to actually stall nominations to key posts—GOP Sen. Tommy Tuberville did it for 10 months, blocking around 400 of Fmr. President Joe Biden’s nominees. Now, at least 3 Dem Senators are using this strategy against Trump’s nominees, and even stopping bills from passing.

Sen. Brian Schatz said he will halt the nominations of at least 300 of Trump’s picks, at more than a dozen government agencies. Schatz also says he’ll stop 9 bills from moving forward.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal will place holds on more than 300 Trump nominations which need approval from his Committees. That includes Armed Services, Homeland Security, Judiciary and Veterans Affairs.

Also, Sen. Ruben Gallego pledged to place holds on all nominations to the VA—until Trump reinstates all Veterans he has wrongfully fired, along with the staff who care for Vets.

All Democrats should block every single Trump nomination. None of them will be good for their positions. They’re all rabid Trump cult members, ready to follow the order of a wannabe-dictator.

If there is any way that Democrats can block or delay the Trump regime’s agenda, they absolutely must do it. Any effort to push back against this diabolical and anti-American administration, has my full support. I hope it has yours.
