So Much For Untouchable: Trump’s IRS Immunity Scheme Falls Apart, A Senate Referee Blocks His Billion-Dollar Heist, and Georgia Prepares To Make History
They picked the wrong fight
There’s a one-page document sitting on the DOJ’s website right now that went up on Tuesday morning. It’s 387 words long, signed by Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche—Trump’s former personal defense lawyer.
It declares the US government is “forever barred and precluded” from auditing Trump’s taxes—or his family and businesses. Forever.
That document isn’t normal. It’s not legal. And it’s not going to stand. Tap the ❤️ like button and re-stack this edition—this story needs to be everywhere, and your share is how it gets there.
Every dollar you put into The Dworkin Report is another viral post on social media, a phone ringing in a Senate office, or an investigation we launch that would never happen otherwise. Every dollar makes it harder for the regime to get away with their rampant corruption. Fund the fight by becoming a paid subscriber right now:
THE SENATE REF BLOCKS BALLROOM FUNDING
Trump promised his ballroom would not cost taxpayers a dime. He called it a “gift.” Then his Senate allies tried to slip a billion dollars of your money into a bill that was supposed to fund the Secret Service—with $220 million specifically earmarked for the ballroom. They called it security. The fine print told the truth.
Senate parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough is the chamber’s nonpartisan referee—in the job for almost twenty years. She ruled the entire $1 billion funding provision violated Senate rules, and it was stripped from the bill.
Trump immediately called the Senate Majority Leader and demanded MacDonough be fired. John Thune said no—but only because Republicans need a functioning parliamentarian to get their agenda passed in the future.
Thune is no hero. The parliamentarian did her job. A billion-dollar heist hit a brick wall named Elizabeth MacDonough.
TRUMP TRIED TO MAKE HIMSELF UNTOUCHABLE
The ballroom money was the warm-up. The bigger move was the addendum the regime quietly slipped onto the DOJ website—no announcement, no press release, no tweet. A one-page document signed by Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, hoping nobody would read it.
It declared the IRS can never again audit Trump, his family, or his companies for any return filed before this week. In 2016 and 2017, he and Melania only paid $750 in federal income taxes. Two active IRS audits—one over a $72.9 million refund, another over his Chicago tower—could’ve cost Trump more than $100 million. The math is the motive.
Legal experts say Blanche didn’t have the authority to sign it. Sen. Ron Wyden called it “completely invalid.” The next president’s day-one to-do list just got another item—rescind every word of this garbage so the IRS can finish its audit. Thanks for the tip, Trump.
NAACP HITS THE SOUTH WHERE IT HURTS
When the Supreme Court gutted what was left of the Voting Rights Act, eight Southern states immediately moved to erase Black congressional districts. The regime thought it had won.
This week the NAACP fought back, launching the “Out of Bounds” campaign. It calls on Black athletes and their families to withhold commitments from public universities in those eight states until they have fair maps.
“What these states have done is not a policy disagreement,” NAACP President Derrick Johnson said. “It is a sprint to erase Black political power.”
The campaign has teeth. The NAACP helped the Congressional Black Caucus kill the SCORE Act—a bill that would’ve rewritten the rules for college athlete contracts and given the conferences sweeping new control. Republicans wanted it badly. They aren’t getting it.
The regime came for the vote. The NAACP came for the empire.
GEORGIA SETS THE STAGE FOR NOVEMBER
One of those eight Southern states delivered something else on Tuesday.
Former Atlanta mayor and Biden White House senior advisor Keisha Lance Bottoms won the Democratic gubernatorial primary in Georgia outright. She cleared the 50% threshold in a crowded field—avoiding a runoff entirely.
Republicans couldn’t even pick their own nominee. Lt. Gov. Burt Jones and billionaire Rick Jackson are now locked in a June 16 runoff brawl that will burn their money and split their party.
Georgia hasn’t elected a Democratic governor since 1998. If Bottoms wins in November, she will be the first Black woman elected governor in American history. Ever.
Bottoms didn’t wait for the confetti to fall. Talking about Trump directly, she said: “Georgians sent a clear message. I’m running to stand up to him.”
Trump made this primary about who would bow. Georgia made it about who would rise to defeat him.
MOMENTUM BUILDS
We’ve been fighting Trump for almost a decade. Long before most people took him seriously. We covered Trump’s Epstein and Russia scandals before big papers would even touch them and helped organize the first impeachment campaign.
This week, I launched The Watchdog Coalition Against Trump’s Corruption—alongside The Democratic Coalition and its affiliate groups, elected officials, labor union leaders, and progressive organizations from across the country.
The mission is simple: expose every piece of Trump’s corruption. Use that evidence to flip the House and Senate in the midterms. End the regime’s grip on power.
We’ve already driven millions of phone calls and emails to Congress. Our stories reach readers in 178 countries. Our social media operation is one of the largest in politics—and we’re putting everything we’ve got into taking our country back.
No advertisers pay for any of that. No corporation owns us. No one can shut us up.
I will never relent. Never bend a knee. Never give up. And I will never surrender to Trump.
The Watchdog Coalition needs you. Join us as a paid subscriber today:

Onward!

What’s Trump’s single most corrupt act? Tell me in the comments. I know it’s nearly impossible to choose just one.
Todd Blanche signing that IRS memo should disqualify him from ever practicing law again. Do you agree?
