Spending time on the open road this week was quite refreshing. You’d think it could be a pain with Thanksgiving traffic, but it really wasn’t. I got to spend a night in the middle of nowhere, getting some fresh air while really focusing on work, and getting organized with my team. It worked like a charm.
Folks frequently ask me how, after two decades of politics and 8 years of nonstop fighting Trump, I manage the stress of this line of work.
One thing I do is I meditate on a daily basis. It helps shield my mind from the constant barrage of unhinged maga threats. It also is a great way to completely clear my head, which is essential when fighting a wannabe dictator like Donald.
Traveling the country this week was also a great reset for me, seeing some old friends and lots of new faces from different walks of life along the way.
A lot of Donald’s voters don’t wear the tacky red hats, or the hideous foreign-made maga swag. So it’s not always easy to tell who actually pulled the lever for this monster. It reminds me of the pandemic, how any one of these folks could be infected with the maga disease, but don’t show any symptoms.
It’s so disappointing to know that many of these people I met while traveling made such a horrible decision, that we all will pay the price for.
I want to ask them—how could you be so brainwashed into believing this madness? Do you just not care about the crimes he committed, or the people he’s hurt? What about Covid and all the innocent Americans who died because of his lies?
They will surely have buyer’s remorse, if they don’t already.
But after this week of reflection, all I’m focused on is bright spots shining through it all: like everything we’ve done to respond to the oncoming threat to our country.
Once again, I’m in awe of our work. Coming together like we did after facing such an avalanche of terrible news over the last month.
Yesterday, our Watchdog Coalition passed 41,000 letters sent to Senators from their constituents. You read that right, 41,000 letters urging them to oppose key unqualified cabinet picks, and any attempts by Trump to bypass the confirmation process with recess appointments.
We pushed out Gaetz, now we’re focused on Hegseth, Gabbard, Kennedy, “Dr.” Oz, and Bondi. Every single day, you can count on our team to fight back against Trump, in every way possible.

The road might be long and stormy now, but we can get through this if we stick together. Because I truly believe that united, we are unstoppable.
Onward!

You have a wonderful team, and built a strong community here. I will never obey or surrender in advance. I’m here to help preserve democracy from the onslaught of #Project2025, authoritarianism, and from a unqualified, despotic, demagogue and convicted felon who stands ready to steal the wealth from our country, it’s people, and our sanity. All the while legacy media normalizes his aberrance.
