The Firewall Holds: Communities, Courts, and States Reject The Regime While Raskin Officially Demands Trump’s Medical Records
The resistance is winning. Here's proof
Democracy is being defended in the streets, courtrooms, and council chambers all across the country—by people who refuse to let Trump turn America into a dictatorship.
Rep. Jamie Raskin just called out how unfit for office Trump is and the regime’s propaganda machine is trying to bury it. Hit the ❤️ like button and re-stack this edition right now to help us break through their noise.
We’ve been fighting Trump since 2016—we’ve contacted Congress millions of times, we run one of the biggest social media campaigns against Trump ever, and we fight their lies by spreading the truth. We run on no ads and no billionaires, which is how we stay independent and answer only to you. And we need all hands on deck—join us as a paid subscriber today:
SIX COUNTIES. THREE JUDGES. ICE LOSES.
The Trump regime’s deportation machine runs on local cooperation—turning taxpayer-funded facilities into federal processing centers.
Colorado spent years building a wall against it. A 2019 law bars local police from holding people on ICE’s request alone. A 2023 law bans local governments from contracting with ICE to detain immigrants.
Six of Colorado’s reddest counties decided those laws shouldn’t apply to them, and sued the state. They lost in trial, and only one county appealed. Then on April 9, a three-judge panel unanimously said no. In their ruling, Judge Timothy Schutz wrote: “The County is mistaken.”
Without local jails, the regime’s deportation machine has nowhere to put people. Colorado just made sure it stays that way.
IDAHO BANNED THE FLAG. BOISE DIDN’T.
Idaho’s GOP legislature spent two years trying to remove the Pride flag from Boise’s City Hall. On March 31—Trans Day of Visibility—they finally got it down. A $2,000-per-day fine has a way of forcing compliance. Boise had other plans.
One week later, Boise didn’t replace the flag. Instead, rainbow stripes went up on flagpoles, rainbow lights shone on City Hall at night, and signs appeared in windows reading “Creating a city for everyone.” The law said no flags—it said nothing about this.
City Council President Meredith Stead said: “We are taking [the flag] down because the law forces us to, but our commitment to every person who has looked at that flag —and felt seen—does not waver for a single moment.”
The GOP Rep. who designed the law says he has no plans for another bill. Two years of legislation and Boise is now more visible and more defiant than it was before they started. The GOP lost.
TRUMP’S EPSTEIN LAWSUIT THROWN OUT
Trump sued The Wall Street Journal for $10 billion last summer, trying to kill a report that said he sent a creepy and sexually suggestive birthday letter to Epstein in 2003. The letter, bearing what looked like his signature, was released by Congress after they subpoenaed Epstein’s estate for it.
On Monday, US District Judge Darrin Gayles threw the whole case out. His verdict on Trump’s legal argument was brutal: “This complaint comes nowhere close to this standard. Quite the opposite.”
Trump spent nine months trying to use a $10 billion lawsuit to crack down on press freedoms and make that letter disappear. It didn’t work. The courts won’t let the regime bury it. And we won’t either. Release the Epstein files. All of them. Now.
RASKIN DEMANDS TRUMP’S MEDICAL RECORDS
Rep. Jamie Raskin sent a formal letter Friday to White House physician Navy Captain Sean Barbabella with three demands: a full neuropsychological assessment of Trump, a complete report on every medication he’s taking along with their cognitive side effects, and Barbabella’s testimony under oath before Congress. Deadline: April 24.
For years, Raskin and others have warned that Trump is unfit for office. Now, as Ranking Member of the House Judiciary Committee, he’s making it official—in writing, with a hard deadline, and the full weight of congressional oversight behind it.
Raskin didn’t mince words. “When the President of the United States threatens to extinguish a civilization on social media, rants about combat missions with children at the Easter Egg Roll, and drops profane tirades on Easter morning,” he wrote, “we have indisputably entered the realm of profound medical difficulty and concern.”
Raskin is refusing to let Trump sweep the truth under the rug, something we’ve proudly been doing since 2016. This Friday, April 17, Raskin will join us live on Substack at 1:15pm ET to go deeper on all of this and more.
The Trump regime has the White House, the House, and the Senate—for now. But momentum is on our side, and the resistance movement is stronger than ever. Help us flip Congress and turn Trump into a lame duck by becoming a paid subscriber today:
