Reading this one made me think about how much they’re trying to do at once — and how often it’s blowing up on them. They tried to hijack the country’s birthday celebration, took millions from foreign governments, and still got blocked by a judge when they went after voting access.

It’s good to see real pushback actually landing in multiple places.

When we retake Congress, these committees are going to need lots and lots of forensic accountants!

MAGA MAGGOTS have been buzzy little bees raping the treasury as fast as they can, destroying DEMOCRACY, hoping you won't notice and implementing PROJECT 2025....

They are bankrupting the nation - your grandchildren won't live long enough to address

this debt - lots of charts and graphs on the site:

The United States National Debt

$39,402,201,817,748

That's $117,619 owed by every American — including your kids.

Based on FY2025 + estimated growth

Seemingly, the reason America still has voting-by-mail is because of an agreement between the Post Office and the NAACP to provide ballots on a time-appropriate basis..

As such, all America owes the NAACP a huge thanks.

Scott, what the regime is getting caught on is just the tip of the iceberg. I’m worried about what we haven’t yet discovered.

It will take years to find out where all the money went.

Thanks as always for the good news! I wrote earlier about my childhood 4th of July- tomorrow my husband and I will go with our grandson to a local No Kings gathering , get ice cream across the street, hear the Declaration of Independence read in our town park and go hear James Taylor at Tanglewood at night.

That is my dream, but not this year.

We are exactly four (4!) months away from the most important election of our lifetime! That sentence is not hyperbole. It’s the truth. After that election there are two possibilities:

1. Republicans win and we have a dictatorship that will not ever again have elections that are free and fair.

2. We can stop the dictator and prevent him grifting off his power.

Judge Sullivan is awesome! I hope he holds Toadie Blanche to account! Pretty sure toadie is in contempt as he was suppose to answer Katie Phang's lawsuit yesterday. I haven't heard yet the outcome of that.

I am SO sick of the blatant, transparent, in your face corruption and theft of our tax dollars.

Sitting on the steps of the Capitol Building, the summer I moved to DC, with an unimpeded view down the Mall of fireworks blazing up behind the Washington Monument….sadly, it won’t look like that this year

I agree; I refuse to celebrate or even acknowledge the day tomorrow. Many will be blowing up fireworks just because they like the noise & excitement. No concerns for veterans of wars who are triggered or innocent pets who are terrified. I would love to see a law created to prevent individuals having fireworks in their neighborhoods. There should be community fireworks for people to watch safely instead of people firing them off late into the night. Maybe this will be a possibility when we remove the criminals & idiots running our government. Note: when I was 10 yrs old I pit a pinwheel fireworks on a tree & it flew off & hit me in the eye. That’s an example of what’s wrong with fireworks.

We have no burn ordinance in effect, fire danger is present yet fireworks are being sold everywhere including our local store. My poor dog will need to be sedated due to silly neighbors setting off illegal fireworks. Happy 4th of July let’s all stay safe and sane

So happy our nearest big city, Milwaukee, has switched from fireworks to drones !

On July 3, 1966 it was over 100 degrees in Trenton NJ. The reason I know this, is that I was pregnant, and the due date was July 4, 1966. There was no air conditioning in our home at that time, so I called my obstetrician and told him I was so uncomfortable, and I was worried about the baby. He told me to go to the hospital, and if nothing happened by the 5th, they would induce labor. Well, at 9:30 am on the 4th I had a labor pain. Later that day, my third child, a daughter, was born. She is going to be 60 tomorrow, July 4, 2026.

I can’t in good conscience celebrate the political use of the 250th Anniversary of our country. What is being done is the ultimate betrayal of everything our country stands for. Thank you for your great work.

Thankfully our small rural towns here in Maine still retain the original (bipartisan--or perhaps no partisan) joy and celebration due this holiday. There will be horses, one or two veterans from WWII and then a couple more Korean Conflict vets, plus Vietnam and now even Afghan & Iraqi vets, vintage jeeps and cars, town fire trucks and the area's many kid's summer camps and goodness knows what else someone might decide to decorate and drive in the parade--but it's always a fun time. Hopefully, several people in the parade vehicles will have those big water squirters to douse the crowd that gathers!

I used to live in NYC and raised my son there. We shared so many wonderful memories watching the Macys fireworks from the East River, standing on the FDR or going to Battery park.

foofaraw & Chiquita(ARF!)'s avatar

I can just barely remember attending a parade about 1961-ish. I only remember looking up into bright sunshine, and being very cold.

And then at Christmas about 1972, I passed Jackie and Aristotle walking down a street near Macy's off of 5th, with no one accompanying them whatsoever.

Good thing no one was there to prove their theory about being corrupt enough to be permitted to shoot either of them them that day.
