I am sooo happy to see Eastman getting his due! It’s nice to know that regardless of the presidential pardon there are other ways of punishment for his actions. Pam Bondi should be disbarred by the Florida Bar Association but I doubt it will ever happen.
I am all for “taxing the rich” but it needs to be properly defined. Believe me, my husband and I pay our taxes and we own a second home. We pay the property taxes on that property and don’t have children in that school district or use many of the services that our taxes pay for. I’m not complaining. I’m just saying that there’s a big difference between wealthy people who pay their taxes and own a beach condo and billionaires who have all kinds of tax loopholes and own $10 million plus second homes.
Hell yes. This is exactly what real resistance looks like — not just talk, but concrete wins that hit the regime where it hurts. Spanberger reversing years of GOP vetoes in record time, Eastman finally disbarred, Mamdani putting billionaires on notice, and a survivor like Aliya Rahman refusing to back down. Elections have consequences, and the people are delivering them. November can’t come soon enough. Keep fighting, everyone.
Yes! The RICH Have NEVER Paid Their Fair Share of Taxes. Maybe in FDRs Administration, but Reagan put a Stop to that & it's Gotten Worse Every Year. TAX the RICH
And in Eisenhower's where the top bracket was like 92%. That was probably overreach which created the backlash we're still feeling, but something has got to be done to make them pay, or make them go live, work, own elsewhere and see how they like it.
My state of WA just passed a top-tier only income tax. We have not had an income tax until now. Many ultra-wealthy live in WA. Gates et al and many more. It's about time.
Things are looking good for November but we need to keep up. #StrongerTogether. I think all people need to be taxed fairly and #trumpsBillionaires pay little yet take the most. For those that give to important causes I’m ok with tax credits but it’s unconscionable that #trumpsBillionaires take so much and walk away paying nothing
While we’re waiting for November, there’s something we need to do right now: Remove Turncoat tRump before July Fourth so that this deranged, vicious, blasphemous monster’s slimy presence won’t be around to defile our country’s 250th celebration of the world’s greatest democracy.
1) I’m optimistic and hopeful. I wish Dems would speak more clearly and more often about follow-on consequences all of the orange rump’s policies, especially all that will go into effect in 2027 where he will then blame Dems. Sigh. Can’t we just get rid of the corruption? F’in Congress!
2) I just want everyone to pay a FAIR tax. Since the rich usually don’t pay any tax at all, perhaps that amounts to a luxury tax. I would like to PREVENT the rich from buying up all the homes and property in any area where locals are priced out of living there. So perhaps I do support a luxury tax that increases exponentially with the number of ’homes’ any individual or corporation owns. Who really needs more than one home? Corporations don’t need to own all of the beach homes as retreats for their rich buddies.
Absolutely - the 2 houses of Congress will flip in November. Who knows what the 🍊💩 will do from now til then but if events continue like they have been, he will be a lame duck prez & then we can begin bringing all of these jokers to justice.
I am optimistic that we will flip both the House and the Senate. Why stop at just taxing second households? I think the rich should get a special tax. Anyone with an income over $500,000 a year should get taxed. Think of all programs that can be funded through these taxes. If the poor like me are able to be taxed, the rich should be taxed even more.
Trump’s lawyer Eastman looks like trump’s idiot fraternal twin with an Indiana Jones-wannabe hat. Like trump, if his mouth is open, he’s spewing lies. Fully disbar him from practicing law in this country, then jail the f*cker
There is no reason NOT to tax the rich. They have fattened their bank accounts at our expense long enough. We have much better uses for $$$ than additional luxuries for them, like feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, housing the homeless ...

Let's hope Pam Bondi and Aileen Cannon get disbarred.
Freedom sharks attack. So done with this illegal regime.
REMOVE PROSECUTE!

And like Scott always tells me, ONWARD!
Spanberger is awesome and I wish I could let Aliya Rahman know how much she is supported.
Yes, Sam! Agree. Come in Nivenber! Let's get the deadwood out of Congress - both parties deadwood!

Many thanks to Washington and other states taking the lead!
Reading this puts a smile on my face every day! 😊 ♥️

I love Mamdani's tax on out-of-state home owners. I don't live in NY, but am watching what this experiment in change does for NYC.

Beware the cheating the GOP relies on to win.
Thank you for the pure positivity.
(I don’t understand all the hedging-your-bets comments seen here all too often.)

a progressive tax structure is fair to all -- no upper limits!

I second Sam. Hell yes.
I lost your updates for period of time. I needed them. Thankful to have you back.
