The Resistance Keeps Winning: Top Generals Defy Trump, Massive Public Pressure Freed Two Children From ICE Prison, and The Regime’s Jerome Powell Prosecution Collapses
Plus, America prepares for its largest day of protests ever
The walls are closing in on Trump, and it’s thanks to the resistance.

NO KINGS DAY TOMORROW
On March 28, there are more than 3,000 protests scheduled in every state and congressional district across the country. Organizers say it could be the single largest day of political protest in American history. The flagship rally is at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul, where Bruce Springsteen will perform. Be sure to show up if you can, or support events online. See you out there!
GENERALS DRAW A LINE
Pete Hegseth told the world exactly what kind of war he wants to fight when speaking at the Pentagon on March 13th. “No quarter, no mercy for our enemies,” he said—a phrase that isn’t tough talk. It’s a war crime.
Under the Hague Convention, the Geneva Conventions, and the Pentagon’s own Law of War Manual, declaring “no quarter” is explicitly prohibited for military leaders. Legal experts writing for national security law journal Just Security concluded that Hegseth’s statements “may be construed as counseling, commanding, encouraging, ordering, or threatening the commission of a war crime.”
Only days later, in a House Armed Services Committee hearing, two generals made it clear there are lines they will not cross.
Dem Rep. Eugene Vindman of Virginia asked SOUTHCOM commander Gen. Francis Donovan if any “no quarter” order had come down the chain. Donovan answered no.
Then Dem Rep. Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania pressed both Donovan and NORTHCOM commander Gen. Gregory Guillot on whether they would comply if ordered to deploy troops to polling places on election day—something Trump has floated and the DNC is suing over.
“Congresswoman, I’m aware that doing so is against the law,” Guillot said. “And I will not follow an unlawful order.” Donovan agreed.
On Capitol Hill, the generals chose the Constitution and the rule of law over their boss. Good.
DOJ ADMITS THEY HAVE NOTHING ON POWELL
Trump’s attempt to prosecute Jerome Powell continues to backfire.
In November 2025, Jeanine Pirro—Trump’s US Attorney for DC and former Fox host—opened a criminal probe focused on the cost of the Fed’s headquarters renovation. Grand jury subpoenas went out in January.
Powell’s lawyers immediately fought back, and Chief Judge James Boasberg quashed those subpoenas on March 13—in a 27-page ruling that left no room for interpretation.
“A mountain of evidence suggests that the government served these subpoenas ... to pressure its Chair into voting for lower interest rates or resigning,” he wrote. “The government has offered no evidence whatsoever that Powell committed any crime other than displeasing the President.”
This week, the sealed hearing transcript came out, revealing that Pirro’s own deputy admitted on the record the government has no evidence of misconduct. None. Zero. Nada. Zilch. When pressed on the basis for the investigation, the prosecutor admitted: “We don’t know.”
Boasberg had heard enough. “How about the White House ballroom,” he asked. “That’s over budget. Should that be investigated?” The prosecutor had no answer.
There was nothing there. There never was.
JUDGE ORDERS RETURN
Maria de Jesus Estrada Juarez walked into a Sacramento immigration office in February with her daughter beside her. She was there for a green card interview—in good faith, with active DACA status, after living in the US for 27 years since she was 15.
Immigration officers arrested her on the spot, and the next morning deported her to Mexico—using an alleged removal order purportedly issued when she was a teenager.
Her daughter Damaris, a US citizen, said: “These past weeks without my mom have been devastating ... We are counting the days until she is back where she belongs.”
Biden-appointed US District Judge Dena Coggins called the deportation a “flagrant violation” of Estrada Juarez’s DACA protections and her Fifth Amendment due process rights.
The regime has until Monday to bring her back.
MS. RACHEL GOT THEM HOME
Rachel Accurso—known as Ms. Rachel—has over 19 million YouTube subscribers and is one of the most popular online children’s entertainers in the world. She could have stayed out of the fight. She didn’t.
After learning about Dilley Immigration Processing Center in South Texas, Rachel stepped in and made a Zoom call wearing her signature pink headband. She appeared on screen for 5-year-old Gael, who was locked up there. “This little guy needs us,” Rachel posted.
Then she got on another call, this time with Deiver, a 9-year-old detained since earlier this month. He was terrified he would miss the spelling bee he had earned a spot in by placing third at regionals.
On Tuesday, ICE released Gael and his parents. The next day they released Deiver and his family too. Both are home now.
“I am political,” Ms. Rachel said, pushing back on critics who told her to stay out of it. “It’s political to believe that children are worthy of love and care, and that every child is equal.”
Two children are free because Rachel Accurso decided silence was not acceptable. This is what true resistance looks like.
So is this—since November, we’ve driven 665,000 calls and letters directly to members of Congress. We generate billions of impressions monthly on social media. And we break the stories corporate media sanewashes—if they cover them at all.
We have no ads, no corporate money, and no billionaire pulling any strings. Just readers like you who want to support journalism that helps lead the resistance. So if you haven’t already, join us as a paid subscriber:

I have two questions for you today.
Are you attending a No Kings protest or supporting them online?
Do you think the regime will comply with the court order and return Maria to the US by Monday?

🚨TWO URGENT ACTIONS TODAY
🚨Vote NO on SAVE Act: https://actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-congress-vote-no-on-the-save-act-to-protect-our-democracy/
🚨 Tell your Reps to impeach Pam Bondi: https://actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-congress-impeach-attorney-general-pam-bondi/
For No Kings events near you: https://www.nokings.org/
I doubt they will return Maria de Jesus Estrada Juarez in a timely manner (by Monday) as this administration loves flouting court orders, but they will return her eventually, when pressed, and a delayed victory is better than no victory.
and YES to No Kings tomorrow!! We will be In NYC and hope there will be a million other marchers with us!!!
Working on the sign now; still refining the wording but was thinking of something like
RESIST Fascism
RECLAIM Our Power
REINSTITUTE Democracy
