THE FUTURE SHOWED UP ANYWAY
On December 22, 2025, the Trump regime issued a blanket stop-work order halting construction on five offshore wind projects, including the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind farm.
A federal court threw it out in January. On Monday, the first turbine began delivering power to the grid. The regime’s monthlong pause cost the developer nearly $230 million—but it didn’t stop the project. It was the fifth time offshore wind developers took the regime to court over the blanket stop-work order. The regime lost all five times.
The turbines are online.
JUDGE SLAMS HEGSETH
Anthropic said no to autonomous weapons and mass surveillance of Americans. The regime called it a national security threat and tried to destroy them for it. On Thursday night, a federal judge said the regime was wrong. It was Hegseth’s second major rebuke by a federal judge in a week.
US District Judge Rita Lin issued a 43-page ruling blocking the Pentagon’s supply chain risk designation against Anthropic. That’s a label typically used against China, Russia, and foreign terrorists—applied for the first time in history to an American company. Judge Lin blocked every action the regime took.
“Nothing in the governing statute supports the Orwellian notion that an American company may be branded a potential adversary and saboteur of the U.S. for expressing disagreement with the government,” the judge wrote.
The regime wanted an AI company to help it build autonomous weapons. A federal judge issued a 43-page ruling against them instead.
THE FIRST OF MANY
On the morning of March 13, 2025—on his 27th birthday—Neiyerver Adrián León Rengel was on his way to work at a barbershop in Irving, Texas. ICE agents stopped him in the parking lot. He showed his paperwork. They told him to show his tattoos instead.
His tattoos include the names of his mother and daughter, a barbershop, and a tiger—which ICE said meant he was in Tren de Aragua. He said he’d never been in a gang. They took him anyway.
After four months in CECOT—the notorious prison in Tecoluca, El Salvador—he’s suing the regime for at least $1.3 million. He’s the first of the CECOT deportees to sue the regime. He won’t be the last.
NEW JERSEY DRAWS THE LINE
New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill has had enough. On Wednesday, she signed three bills into law—banning law enforcement including ICE agents from wearing masks, and locking the state’s sanctuary policy into permanent law.
“In the past two months, we’ve watched poorly trained, masked ICE agents put communities across the country in danger,” Sherrill said. “In this state we have drawn a line—no, not here.”
