The Regime Argued No Court Could Stop It
Last Tuesday, we reported on a judge who froze the regime’s demand for 17 million drivers’ Social Security numbers. Nobody reported what the DOJ actually filed. We did. There’s so much more to the story now.
The DOJ’s first argument was that no court in America even had the authority to hear the case. No matter what courthouse the states who were suing over the data chose, the DOJ said it was the wrong one.
The DOJ’s second argument was worse. They claimed that privacy law only protects citizens and green-card holders—so anyone else’s records are theirs to hand over.
Then the DOJ’s own witness sank their case. The agency’s safety chief admitted under oath they already can look up any driver in that database, one at a time, whenever they want.
So why demand all 17 million files? Because right now they can only look up one person at a time, which means identifying that specific driver. If given a master file, they can search however they want—without having to name anyone.
On Thursday morning, Judge Anthony Trenga asked the most obvious question: What do you need these for? The DOJ didn’t have an answer. Later that day Trenga ruled that the states will likely win on every count, the files will stay put, and the regime can’t touch anyone’s funding for refusing to hand over the data.

Letitia James Beat The Prosecutor They Installed
Trump has sought payback against New York Attorney General Letitia James for years. Two particular cases bothered him the most, including the fraud case James won against his company, and the case she won against Trump’s ally the National Rifle Association.
In August 2025, federal prosecutor John Sarcone III subpoenaed every file that James had on both cases. What was truly strange is the fact Sarcone demanded everything be sent directly to him. That’s not how cases like these usually work.
But Sarcone’s temporary appointment had already run out—and the federal judges in Albany had refused to extend it. He wasn’t supposed to be serving in that role anymore. So the DOJ moved another lawyer out of the chair and slid Sarcone in.
In January, Judge Lorna Schofield killed the subpoenas. Then the DOJ asked her to let Sarcone keep working while they appealed—so she looked at what he’d bring to the job and said no. Sarcone had never prosecuted a case in his life—not one. Seriously.
On Friday, the appeals court agreed. James never handed over a single document. Trump used the DOJ to come after her and lost anyway.
The Companies That Said No Lost Nothing
Last January, Trump signed an order threatening any company that kept its diversity programs—or DEI—in place.
Some companies like Target and Walmart gave in immediately. T-Mobile seemed to fold because they were waiting on a merger to be approved.
But wholesale giant Costco didn’t budge. Two days after Trump signed the order, Costco’s shareholders voted on a conservative group’s proposal to walk away from DEI. They killed it, 281 million shares to 4.8 million. Apple and John Deere investors rejected the same kind of proposal weeks later, both by around 98%.
Researchers at Stanford and Berkeley studied America’s 500 biggest companies, and what they found was that none of them faced severe consequences for keeping DEI. They kept pretty much the same stock prices, and sales essentially stayed the same.
Costco said no and lost nothing. It was a bluff. Target and Walmart just never called it.
The RNC’s War On Your Mailbox Collapsed
In Nevada, mail ballots are valid if they’re received within four days of the election—as long as the postmark proves it was sent on time. Republicans had a problem with that, so in 2024 they sued to put an end to the grace period.
The case was thrown out by Judge Miranda Du, who said no one had been hurt by the rule. The judge added that Republicans couldn’t sue over an injury that never happened. So of course Republicans appealed that ruling.
On Friday—around two years later—the appeals court agreed with Judge Du. That’s five states now where these same lawsuits have died.
If you vote by mail, it will count. November is coming.
Judges have carried an enormous amount of weight holding the line across the US, especially with the unhinged dictator in the Oval Office. But a court can only do so much to protect our country. The rest relies on us.
