Outright theft, extortion, grifting misleading, the list goes on.

She was right to refuse to change the story. I watched it on Canadian 60 Minutes because Canada 🇨🇦 ran it in its entirety. I quit a job before they could fire me because I refused to do something that I thought could be illegal but definitely was immoral. I did this as a single mother back in the 1980’s

Agree, it is theft knowing full well your intentions were to take the fees and not fullfil your contract. Trump did that to contractors from the 1970s onward. NewYorkers tried to tell the voters Trump is a thief. He signed contracts with small businesses than refused to pay, using excuses and lawsuits knowing they didn't have the deep pockets to sue. I'm glad there are some journalists left with integrity. Yes, I was a Whistleblower and I didn't care when I lost my job. I never traded my integrity for power.

My father-in-law was one of those businesses that he screwed. Trump needs to go to jail for all the people he has screwed, both literally and figuratively.

So sorry, Trump has NO INTEGRITY. We tried to tell the voters. It felt like no one listened.

Growing up in New England exposed me to all his grift for years but @nbc made him a star and the magas fell for it.

I’m sure you’ve been blessed for making that decision. Your children are blessed to have a mother like you.

Scott, this edition is delightful. Thank you for always finding the stories the corporate media buries. Proud to be a paid subscriber! 🔥

This is exactly why we do this work every single day.

These aren’t small wins — they’re proof the resistance is gaining ground. Thank you for being here and fighting alongside us.

Keep sharing, keep pushing, and let’s make November count. 💪

Bravo Sharyn Alfonsi!!!! Good golly, we NEED more journalists AND congress people like her. What a breath of fresh air!

This Administration should be charged with grand theft. Starting with the tariffs (taxpayers will never see a refund), cancelling research grants that weren’t completed, charging fees to individuals seeking green cards or citizenship and not following through on promised services, deporting individuals and not giving them access to their bank accounts, filing frivolous political lawsuits (defamation) so defendants have to spend their own money, filing absurd lawsuits to recover personal money (IRS)etc. There are simply too many examples to cover them all.

Right under our noses!

We need to have a national judge day. Marc Elias says the midterms will be fought in the courts.

Scott, thank you for keeping us informed on this. Unfortunately the Shittler regime does not want anyone knowing the truth. Thank goodness you and others on Substack are sharing the truth!

Collecting money from people you have no intention of providing the service is called fraud. Nothing new coming from the orange monster.

I absolutely would have refused to change a story I knew was correct and well sourced. There are now many many other places for an honest reporter to work. I also would have put the story up on my YouTube channel to make sure it was seen. Now it is more important than ever for the truth to see the light of day. Thank you to sources like The Dworkin Report, Medias Touch, Mary Trump, Robert Reich and even Adam Kinzinger for providing truth to power.

I could never imagine someone trying to tell Scott to take it easy on Trump!

To take a fee for an action you know will not be done is fraud. With this administration the grift never ends.

Where is the “fraud czar?” Thats a really sticky situation to have to call out your own side thats doing the fraud. Will he, or won’t he? Guess we have to wait til he’s off the couch to find out🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤣🤣

1. Theft. Cheating. Fraud.

2. Yes.

It can't happen soon enough.

Her decision to stand by her reporting was absolutely the right one. Pretty sure I would have refused to change the story, too. I once refused an order to “correct” an article I wrote that proved school district officials were trying to cheat a cancer-stricken teacher out of her sick leave pay. In fact, that refusal did eventually get me fired but, dammit, it was worth it.

The collection of the billion dollars from legal immigrants was nothing more than stealing. It probably went into The Evil One’s pockets. And I would never bend the knee; I didn’t do it when I worked in a man’s world and was threatened, didn’t get a promotion, etc.; and I won’t do it now.
