I needed this good news today! Seeing tiny towns stand up for their communities and judges holding the line gives me so much hope and energy to keep fighting. Let’s keep this momentum going! ❤️

Thank you!

I’m tired today….democracy and the economy is equally important because they depend on one another. I am glad that people are starting to see that democracy is important. It’s a shame they didn’t listen to Kamala

So they cut off the grants to the very states who remit the most in taxes to fund their stupidity Blue states wake up!

No tax $ without representation

Republicans canceled grants to Blue states and yet the tax payers in those states are the ones who pay the majority of the taxes!

Remember the Boston Tea Party. We need to stop sending money to the federal government if they are blocking blue states. No taxation without representation

Thank you for reporting

Thank you so much for being a part of this community and standing with us! This is exactly why we keep fighting every single day

Thankfully we have more good news to choose from!

I’m happiest with anything blocking the SAVE Act, but I also love it when this administration has to admit they are doing something unethical like blocking assistance to states based on whether they voted for Trump or not. That really should produce more outrage from the public.

All great wins!

The grant money and the mail are probably my top picks. Thanks always for all you’re doing!

Scott - they all do. Thank you for your reporting.

All the wins, great news. Thanks, I hope we hear more news like this. Hope you will fill us in on what is happening with Iran so we know the truth.

Only 99 days until the midterms!!! That is what gives me the energy to move forward today!

The government gets to use taxpayer money to defend its lawsuits, then appeal when they lose. I would really like to see a change. The lawyers representing the government have to pay the courts the fees for wasting everyone's time with frivolous lawsuits. I would like law licenses to be stripped. At some point in time, the lawyers wasting all this time and productivity delaying real cases while taxpayers continue to fund it need to have a change of heart and that starts with sanctions and losing a license over it.

What is the latest with McConnell being dead but still be a senator and his staff still getting paid from taxpayer dollars? When will the lawsuits be filed against what has to be a crime for a dead guy impersonating a live senator? Don't we have laws that say dead people cannot vote? Collect social security? Yet, here we are...

And, don’t say they can’t keep our mail from us. We moved 100 miles away from our previous house on March 7th. We’re still waiting for our mail. I’ve used all the options we have to get the mail they’re holding, but there’s nothing else I can do. They just break the law at will, we don’t matter.

The Post Office was running a real high end business until T came into office. Huge amts of $$ taken by Trump’s “new” admin pulled resources from USPS & it’s slowed down rural deliveries which must be true for cities even more because of quantities of mail and cut backs to personnel.

I wonder if democracy topping the list is from republicans thinking the democrats are communists or socialists, then it’s not such a good thing… that’s what I don’t like about polls, there are no explanations.

Sam Jones's avatar

Good point! In this case, the breakdown shows that Democrats and Independents were primarily the ones choosing “threats to democracy,” while Republicans overwhelmingly still prioritized the economy. I think it just goes to prove that there are way more of us than there are of them.

Thanks for the breakdown, that is indeed good news, then. Do you think the republicans that are prioritizing the economy, blame felon47? Or the dems (Biden)?

The Wall Street journal winning the award for courage at the correspondence dinner. I wish we had a large scroll that noted every illegal action that was beat and also the ones to be noted for future reference. I know there must be a list somewhere online of these things but the scroll could be effective read outloud.
