I really appreciate all this great news, especially the part about defeating Donald’s stupid wall in Big Bend. I was privileged to camp in Big Bend in 1989 and if I’m remembering correctly, we even got to sit in a hot spring adjacent to the Rio Grande. I remember looking across the river into Mexico and thinking how remote we were, how peaceful it was. It’s one of those places where you could easily think you were visiting 150-200 years ago instead of the industrialized present. Donald’s stupid wall would have ruined a slice of Texas that should be sacred. Kudos and eternal thanks to that lady from Terlingua for stopping that travesty!
My elementary school teacher was asked if she would accept a kid who had been thrown out of many schools because he was IMPOSSIBLE. She did. Before he arrived, she asked us to help her help him by ignoring him when he "acts up" and praise him when he does something really well. Because nothing was impossible for her, she remains my heroine.
A woman in a small town in California used what little money she had to buy whistles for her neighbors delivering them door to door explaining even though she didn't speak their language ♡
Americans have gotten to used to just caving into rich and powerful people. Let that photographer be a lesson to us all: We The People hold the power in this country and we better not forget it ever again once we get out of this damn mess.
I love the story of Anna Claire Beasley. Not even 30 years old! In a town of 150 people! What if she had done nothing! So much irreparable environmental damage would have been done to Big Bend!

I think Barack Obama winning the presidency in America would’ve been considered impossible. It seems clear it would be now the way SCOTUS and this administration are stealing the elections.

I am getting a chuckle out of using ICE and Training in the same sentence. And yes, I am fat-shaming this organization. I commanded an Army Basic Training cycle in the 80s. My Drill Sergeants would have eaten these ICE agents alive.
It would be funny, if it hadn't already been so deadly and injurious to so many. But I get what you are saying, it must be galling when you've gone through and/or taught thorough and rigorous training to have to witness the dangerous inexperience of these thugs.

There’s a petition for his impeachment going around TikTok. I signed it! Not sure if it will do anything but it sure felt good to sign that.
He swore an oath to uphold the constitution - his behavior since should be enough to impeach, but it won't work as long as Republicans have the House.
I think he will do anything to "win" the midterms - cheat and lie and fix and buy.
