City Hall’s lawyers made a list, then tracked who came looking for it. Plus: an HHS study that only asked about one side’s violence, and the clipboard that beat Trump.
These are the six campaigns we're focused on today, out of dozens we're running. Every one goes straight to your own representative or your senators, depending on who can actually move it, with your zip code attached. That's what makes them count. Congressional offices sort constituent mail by district and by subject, and the totals go up the chain every single day.
**Yosemite.** They worked on this quietly for over a year so there wouldn't be a public fight.
**Investigate the case.** Somebody flew those planes. Somebody kept that calendar. Somebody moved that money. We need every one of them under oath, not just the handful who've already testified.
Each one takes about a minute. We've sent more than 843,000 since November 2024, and every single one started with somebody deciding it was worth the minute.
And if you send one today, reply here and tell me which one. I read these, and so does everybody else scrolling past deciding whether to bother. Seeing that somebody already did it is usually what tips them.
I hope everyone new to this newsletter by Scott Dworkin will take a minute to see how easy it is to use the above links to send emails to your people in Congress. This free service is absolutely worth your subscription! And will continue to be after we turn Congress Blue with our success in the Midterms, to let them know what we want done! :-)
I have sent these letters so many times to my representatives who are fortunately all Democrats that I wonder if they get a buzzer when my name comes up. Chuck Schumer is the only one who does not respond and I will not support him in the future. Senator Gillibrand and Congressman Kennedy, I will definitely back.
Mamdani didn’t invent those records. He just stopped pretending they weren’t there. That’s the piece I keep coming back to — the files didn’t change. The person in the chair did. Somebody in your town is still waiting on that kind of person. And that could be YOU
I mean this: this edition exists because you keep showing up. The letters, the restacks, the people who forward it to someone who’s about to give up. That’s the whole budget and the whole reason Scott opened the boxes.
If today is heavy, take the Missouri piece and sit with it for a minute. A map they swore was locked is on the ballot because ordinary people didn’t put the clipboard down. You’re in that same fight. I’m proud to be in it with you. Thank you 🙏
Yes,they are trying to demonize Mamdani. I think we should bring back/shout out the heinous GOP fist bump !
“Republican Senators have been criticized for fist bumping on the Senate floor after the GOP blocked a bill that would have expanded healthcare coverage for military veterans exposed to toxic burn pits during their service.”
Scott, I still have never found one of your posts that wasn't magnificent, and if it's OK with you, I'll stop looking.
I think I did, however, find a possible imperfection today. In the "67 Million Registrations..." section, it's never made clear what difference it makes if someone is not a citizen. If they paid into Social Security, then they're fully entitled to its benefits. If SSA doesn't want to pay benefits to non-citizens, then they shouldn't require them to pay into it.
Good catch, next time I will make it plainer Fred. This isn't about benefits. Only citizens can vote, so states are running voter rolls against Social Security files to check citizenship—and those files are wrong often enough that a citizen like Anthony Nel got his registration canceled in Texas. You're right that a non-citizen who paid in is owed their benefits. Different fight, and a fair one.
My late younger brother was a lawyer, but he was mischievous. (I suppose it's an advantage when a lawyer doesn't like to follow rules. It makes him or her creative enough to find ways around them.) On what turned out to be the day before my brother died -- he hadn't worked in a year, because of his worsening cancer -- I went to the SSA office at least to get him disability benefits. Apparently, his wife had never tried, or never thought about it. SSA told me he didn't qualify, because he had never paid into SSA. But he was in his 60s, born in Miami, and lived, worked, (and paid taxes?), and voted in this country all his life.
So I guess if the clown's regime had tried to confirm his authorization to vote by checking with SSA, he wouldn't have qualified. Although as best I remember -- he died in 2019 -- he did have a Social Security number.
Scott, my big gripe is not with you at all, but with the orange one using the Social Security files at all!! He has no right to do this. And he has no right interfering with how the states run their elections! Just had to say these things. :-)
I didn’t trust republicans when the towers went down and now I actually fear them. When they’re running things, money is the highest priority over lives. And now, ego and money are tied. Lives are down at like, 8th place. That’s republican lives. Democrats are actually last priority to the point of being enemy targets.
I wonder where we’d be if Al had been victorious after the election dust finally settled in 2000. “W.” was the worst president to happen then (unless trump had been in that race and bullied a win… then I doubt the world would still be here.)
Yet too many ‘progressives’ claim both sides are the same or only want to acknowledge that their few favs ( at the moment). It’s frustrating. Overall we know that living in a Dem run state is better than living in GOP run state. That’s the work of the party at large not a few people.
I have relatives and friends who were down on the pile helping with rescue and cleanup…they were never told about the dangers of what they were breathing in! My brother-in-law said they were given flimsy masks while digging through rubble! In that toxic of an environment they should have had respirators! I knew they were lying about the air quality in the days after the attack…anyone with half a brain could see it was dangerous! Those who lied have blood on their hands! And Giuliani has the audacity to say that Mamdani shouldn’t be at the memorial ceremony tomorrow because he’s Muslim! HE is the one that should not show his deceitful face there!! Good for Mamdani for finally releasing those files!! I wish he could run for President!
Is anyone else keeping tally of all the checks that DonOld has promised and not delivered? 5 grand is a good chunk of change, tempting in the current economy; however, the tariff rebate never arrived (2 grand) and the HSA plan didn't either (1G to 1.5G). Who's dum(b) enough to believe this whopper?
Great news about the release of those 68 boxes and the judges who keep telling DonOld NO! More good trouble, Scott, hope the regime is getting tired of all their "winning" !
I feel betrayed by your actions. I see that you are hob-knobbing with the very rich. Come back to reality. You are not one of them. You are one of us--the little people who supported you, bought your merchandise, went to your fund raisers, shook your hand--and voted for you. You have thrown us under the bus for what? Money? Fame?
I'm so disappointed in you. Shame. Shame on you, whoever you are.
I have sent internal messages, emails, phone calls to the WI state AG Josh Kaul for years. Maybe some day his office will listen. I watch and read what other state AG's do, like the California AG Rob Banta (sp) and NY AG among others that take on the maga with state filings, and teaming up to become an equivalent of a class action. Nothing from the WI state AG. Not yet anyway. We have insurrectionists in state and national office that can be charged for crimes such as the fake elector scheme initiated by Ron Johnson, carried out by Scott Fitzgerald and perpetuated by state office leader Robin Vos. Yet, nothing has happened. Why? I surely want to find out. We had Elon Musk show up bribing voters with millions of dollars in a fake lottery that was never paid out. I am sure there is a lot more I don't know about. So, to answer the question that Scott posed, I don't yet have a win in my back pocket but someday I sure will hope to have that. Wisconsin needs an AG that is not afraid to step in and fix the maga problem that this state has because of zero accountability.
Great work!! Thank you, sincerely, for all your efforts!!
If desire exists to restore America (at least to the point Dr. King left it for us), one fact must be accepted, if only from an almost 70-year-old who has spent most of his life, and perhaps >250 years of total family history, in the deep south. Why do southerners allow Trump/MAGA to literally KILL their elderly, and now all the way down to newborns being denied vitamin-K shots by their own Trump-directed parents?:
"MAGA hates the things they hate more than they love the things they love."
But no matter how many close family members suffer and die, it will NEVER be Trump's responsibility. In fact, since their goal is to "own the libs", it must be OUR fault!!!
I wish I were joking, Mark. I'm not. It's just that simple to them. And they don't even mind that Trump is saying that white males are being victimized by every other demographic on Planet Earth (even their own female counterparts, presented by a woman who can never herself qualify), as long as he recognizes their existence!!
"Trump EEOC Chair's Makes Announcement Regarding White Males Who 'Experienced Discrimination At Work' "
I wonder if there will ever be a time (and I hope there won't be) in which there is SO MUCH actionable news that there are enough individual news stories for EVERY American to come up with a few legitimate stories of their own.
For example, my "60 years" bit points out how the GOP "dirty tricks crew" (along the likes of Lee Atwater) are still working hard behind the scenes.
And the huge amount of fear that Trump still feels due to Black Americans NOT burning down their own neighborhoods during the BLM Rallies, and how Trump's first experience with "true believers" was not Iran, but the parents of Black children willing to fight to save them. That was Trump's first encounter with people loving ANYTHING more than money.
And how it's been a LONG time since we've heard "Black people LOVE me", simply because Trump now knows it's not true, and he's terrified of the push back since 2020 (BLM).
Toward the end of World War II, America’s richest citizens were paying a tax rate of up to 94% with historically little pushback or complaint, because that’s what America required to defeat fascism and maintain Democracy.
During the start of a new century under President “W”, people paying even as little as 1/4th of that WWII tax rate demanded even lower tax rates…twice. During wartime.
60 years…..
From the end of America’s Civil War, and for the next 100 years, there were essentially ONLY Democrats in elected federal offices from the south due to southern hate for Republican President Lincoln.
Beginning around 1960, the GOP began to implement their Southern Strategy. Following that period, in 2025 (white) American “Christians” overwhelmingly voted to replace their worship of Jesus with their worship of a man who wasn’t even able to name the Golden Rule: Donald Trump.
The new MAGA savior told them he could save their souls by altering the past, if they would be willing to abandon all sense of personal responsibility. And abandon Jesus, of course. And the previously 100% Democratic south became overwhelmingly GOP, as it remains.
60 years…..
In the early 1960s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. became one of the most effective and respected freedom fighters on Earth.
In 2025, virtually everything Dr. King accomplished had either been driven from the American memory or weaponized in an attempt to prevent anything like Dr. King’s legacy from EVER being influential in America again.
The GOP eliminated patriotism as a positive American trait and replaced it with GREED….
The GOP removed the loving words of Jesus from the hearts of white Americans, and replaced them with HATE…
The GOP eliminated Dr. King’s legacy as they removed his principles of brotherhood and personal sacrifice from the American psyche, and replaced them with FEAR…
Seemingly, this “Trifecta of mind control: greed, hate and fear” is an indication that the GOP can accomplish anything they want towards gaining control, and the DNC won’t even know until it’s just too late.

“Stopped pretending” implies that Mamdani *ever* pretended that they weren’t there!
Maggie, perhaps if it said, "stopped the pretending of past Mayors" , that would clear things up.
That’s how I read it as well.
I mean this: this edition exists because you keep showing up. The letters, the restacks, the people who forward it to someone who’s about to give up. That’s the whole budget and the whole reason Scott opened the boxes.

Fight! Thanks Sam. I appreciate your hard, ongoing work in this fight for democracy.
I'm glad there is going to be No Kings protest/voter education event before the midterms.
And people had toe audacity to try and keep Mayor Mamdani from the 9/11 memorial. He did what needed to be done a long time ago.
Yes,they are trying to demonize Mamdani. I think we should bring back/shout out the heinous GOP fist bump !

Thanks as always, Scott. I appreciate your hard work every day to try and save democracy. Who would think this is where we would be.
But I protested through the 60's and 70's. Down with the man.
Claire WE are saving Democracy! :-)

Sandy, you could write a multi-volume series of books about the clown, and call it "He Has No Right To Do This."
It started with my divorce - not backing down - and continues to this day, 43 years later. Tom Petty sings my tune: I won’t back down.
I didn’t trust republicans when the towers went down and now I actually fear them. When they’re running things, money is the highest priority over lives. And now, ego and money are tied. Giuliani should be “uninvited “ to the 9/11 memorial. He has a stained reputation. There’s still time.
RFK JR. should be forced to resign.
