This Week Belonged To The Resistance: Bondi Sold Her Soul For A Pink Slip, Mike Johnson Caved To Democrats, and Trump’s Approval Cratered
Plus, courts kill GOP voter suppression scheme
The regime just had its worst week in months. We have the receipts.
Mike Johnson folded on the shutdown. The courts killed a voter suppression scheme. Bondi got axed. Hit the ❤️ like button and re-stack this post right now to help us drive these stories through the regime’s propaganda machine like a battering ram.
Ten years in—we have no ads, no corporate influence, and no permission needed. Just reader-funded resistance journalism that’s driven 671,000 calls and letters to Congress, and fought GOP lies on social media week after week.

VOTER REGISTRATION REVIVAL IN ARKANSAS
In January 2024, Get Loud Arkansas launched an online voter registration tool. It worked. Seventy-eight percent of new registrants were under twenty years old.
The Arkansas Times published a story about its success, and just two days later, Secretary of State John Thurston ordered county clerks to stop accepting electronic signatures—making the online tool worthless overnight.
When the state’s own attorney general confirmed electronic signatures were legal, the Board of Election Commissioners rushed through an emergency “wet signature” rule anyway. That was just ten weeks before the 2024 general election. Get Loud Arkansas sued. A district court agreed, but the state appealed.
On March 31, the 8th Circuit killed it. Chief Judge Steven Colloton, joined by Trump appointee Judge Ralph Erickson, kept an injunction in place blocking enforcement. The court found no evidence that the rule prevented fraud—or did anything except stop Get Loud from registering voters.
“When Arkansas officials learned that hundreds of citizens registered to vote through an online tool, they decided to change the rules to stop it,” said Uzoma Nkwonta, lead counsel for Get Loud Arkansas. “This is exactly the type of manufactured barrier the Civil Rights Act exists to prevent.”
Democracy won this one. The resistance made sure of it.
47 DAYS. DEMOCRATS HELD STRONG
Last Friday, Mike Johnson called the Senate’s bipartisan DHS funding deal a “crap sandwich.” On Wednesday, he announced he’d pass it anyway.
After crippling airports and leaving TSA officers without pay for 47 days, Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune folded—agreeing to pass what Democrats demanded, with no blank check for ICE and no voter ID bill.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries was blunt: “Mike Johnson and House Republicans have come to realize that we will never bend the knee. It’s time to pay TSA agents, end the airport chaos and fully fund every part of [DHS] that does not relate to Donald Trump’s violent mass deportation machine.”
Forty-seven days of Mike Johnson’s shutdown. He got nothing for it.
CLEAN OUT YOUR DESK, BONDI
Trump fired his attorney general on Wednesday—the second cabinet member he’s axed this term.
Bondi wasn’t fired for being too aggressive with the regime’s enemies. She was fired for not being aggressive enough. Trump was furious that she hadn’t prosecuted enough of his political opponents, and mad that she hadn’t done more to cover up the Epstein files.
Dem Rep. Jamie Raskin said it to her face a few months ago: “You’ve turned the people’s Department of Justice into Trump’s instrument of revenge. Trump orders up prosecutions like pizza, and you deliver every time.”
Democrats spent months making Bondi impossible to defend. Now, she’s gone. The resistance made her too toxic to keep.
TRUMP’S FLOOR KEEPS COLLAPSING
Francisco Castillo voted for Trump in November of 2024. In early March, as he stood outside a gas station in De Soto, Iowa, the 43-year-old factory worker put it plainly: “He said he was going to bring gas down, but the war in Iran is now making everything worse.”
Castillo is not alone. Trump’s polling on the economy hit an all-time low of 31% this week—lower than Biden ever was. CNN, UMass Amherst, Reuters/Ipsos, Quinnipiac—every pollster, same story.
CNN’s chief data analyst Harry Enten said: “There is no floor for Donald Trump. The floor beneath him keeps collapsing, and he falls down to a new record low.”
Since January, Trump’s economic approval rating among Republicans dropped 14 points. Among GOPers under 45, he’s down 23 points. And 13% of Trump voters say they regret how they voted.
Trump doesn’t have a single issue where more Americans approve than disapprove. Not the economy, immigration, or war—not one. Seven months before the midterms, and the regime is already losing the voters it can’t win without.
They counted on you not finding out the truth. Too late. We’ve done this for a decade, beholden to no one but you.
