Thousands Of Anti-Trump Protests Made His Parade Look Tiny and More Great News
Demonstrations against Trump shine, his parade failed, and more
Happy Father’s Day to my fellow dads and father figures! If you’re looking for a daily news brief that cuts through Trump’s lies to deliver the truth, you’re in the right place. I’m glad you’re here. Let’s dive in.
Trump held his authoritarian parade yesterday—and by the looks of it, he probably wishes it had been called off for thunderstorms.
The crowd size was beyond pathetic, with a lot of empty bleachers, and a sparse crowd—even in front of the main stage. One protester could be heard yelling “Trump is a traitor!” Ain’t that the truth.
CA Gov. Gavin Newsom’s press office sent out a photo of Sean Spicer speaking from the White House podium back in 2017, juxtaposed with an image of the parade’s meager crowd size. The accompanying caption read “THIS IS THE LARGEST PRESIDENTIAL BIRTHDAY PARTY EVER.” Hilarious.
There’s even a photo of Trump watching the parade, where you can see long stretches of unfilled space across the street. The energy was low. It was extremely boring. And it was so quiet at times, you could hear the squeaks from the tanks as they rolled down the street.
I’m thankful for those who have served or are serving in our military. It was not the kind of event our Army deserved, as it was was way too focused on Trump. He failed our troops, like he always has. And if the regime actually wasted $45 million on it, I’d love to know where that money went.
Meanwhile, there was an event celebrating Pope Leo XIV in his hometown of Chicago, with a sold-out crowd of more than 30,000 people. “When I see each and every one of you … I discover myself how much hope there is in the world,” Pope Leo XIV stated in a video message.
And our protests yesterday were a huge success—with thousands of peaceful events held in all 50 states, DC, and in dozens of countries around the world. Millions of people stood up and spoke out against Trump, while showing their support for freedom and democracy.
The images of enormous crowds speak for themselves. The energy was vibrant and inspiring. It’s a day we’ve been building up to for quite a while, and I’m so proud of the countless readers who took part.
The demonstrations served as a reminder that there are so many people locking arms with us, united against this tyranny. There will be more protests, but for now let’s celebrate the fact that we indeed won the day, and Trump lost. This is just the beginning.
